Elle 2024

I loved the 'original' Elle but found its projection and longevity disappointing. Sadly, this iteration may be even worse in that regard. It is beautiful, however, and although extremely reminiscent of its predecessor, packs a little less punch. I have to massively overspray and fanatically reapply to gain any enjoyment from it.

I always wanted to try this since it was compared to Midnight Poison but I didn't have a chance. I am grateful for the opportunity even though I don't understand why brands go with same looking ugly bottles,it can't be that cheaper. It makes it confusing for those without the knowledge of previous releases and there is nothing aestheticly pleasing to draw regular buyers. That is why I doubt this will be available everywhere.

I recently got this by mistake from a vendor selling the original Elle so I was already pretty disappointed and expected to hate this. However, I have to say that I really don't mind this perfume. It's definitely more of mature scent and probably better for night time. I cant say it's my favorite scent, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one and will probably wear this once the weather cools down

I tested this perfume today at our local perfumery. Scent-wise this is a faint remake of the original Elle from 2007. It lacks its complexity and depth. Patchouli is noticeable here, the scent itself is much more linear, transparent (fits the bottle design) and tamed. Worth a try? Yes. Worth a buy? Only for true lovers of Elle.

Yeah! Still have a few backups of the pink bottle which is still relatively easy to find in the UK but reassured this will be around for years to come. Love this patchouli bomb, I am going to assume it is the same fragrance with litchi and floral notes and not the pyramid given above.
