Iris Veil

So let me start by saying that I love this scent. But I don't think it is like Glossier You. To me, Glossier You smells like the pages of a glossy magazine. A bit starchy and softly floral but more like paper. Iris Veil has none of that. To me it is first and foremost a gourmand. The strongest note to me is the marshmallow, then the iris. I can smell the woody base but it's not super strong. Sweetness is what comes through most. I would say this is almost closer to something like Princess by Killian than Glossier You. Maybe even Kayali YBM. Definitely smells marshmallowy to me with a hint of powdery iris. But absolutely lovely all the same.

Just bought this bc I read it's a Glossier You dupe. I've only smelled You when a friend was wearing it so I'm not the most realiable source, but the dry down of this is identical to what my friend was wearing that day. When you first spray it it's mostly iris and pear, even though the pear is not listed. For me, it has a similar vibe to English Pear and Freesia from Jo Malone, like they don't smell the same but they're vibing in the same wavelength, I don't know... So, Iris Veil: very cutesy, very demure, clean girl vibes, very soft. Love it!!

I’ve not put my nose on the Glossier, however someone in the below review said the Glossier reminded them of the pages of a glossy magazine and you know what in this Zara EDP I am getting the glossy magazine vibes, it’s giving clean, classy and got your sh*t together vibes, very feminine and soft. I’m not getting marshmallows in the dry down, and after an hour it’s still projecting from two tentative test sprays on my arm, although I purchased a mature bottle from a FB fragrance group I’m in so maybe that helps but I really really like this!

Stunning! I bought on the spot after testing this in Zara on a whim. It’s classy violet, hint of sweetness with feminine powder puff. The earthy iris is not as prominent as the candid violets but it’s fresh and clean, not headache inducing sweet. The light woods underneath just prevent it from being too young or candied. It’s a lighter less peppery Glossier, although not listed im positive there is a slight ambrox note. Definitely a skin smell it’s very light but stays well on clothes. Beautiful purple fragrance I hope this stays at Zara!

This one is lovely! It's a modern iris with a hint of sweetness. Very similar to another Zara fragrance – A Perfume in Rose – and also to Glossier You. If Glossier You was too peppery for you, try this one instead! It stays close to the skin, but I still catch whiffs of it when I move, for about four hours. Update, 05/2026: The marshmallow note has got much sweeter. Too sweet for me unfortunately. Right now I would classified this fragrance as a floral gourmand.
