Vetiver Pamplemousse Elixir

Ok, now this is great. A very bright modern unisex citrus fragrance with a suprisingly interesting woody base. At first I was on the fence about the woody dry down, but the more I have it the more I love it. Absolutely gorgeous, non-sweet citrus that still has lots of personality. To me, the elixir version is better than the og, although the woody base (that the original doesn’t quite have) could be not everyone’s cup of tea. This one lasts longer and projects better. However, I would not have called it an elixir, as it hardly lasts 2-3 hours on my skin (and clothing). Also, to me this is better than Pamplelune, although I love the Aqua Allegoria line, something in Pamplelune pisses me off, whereas this fragrances just feels enchanting to me. Overall: my current summer favourite, can’t wait to try it in the colder months as well 9.75/10

The Elixir version is the ultimate Pamplemousse fragrance ever!! Thank you Zara X Jo Malone CBE My review of the original scent: It’s just so good I lost count of how many bottles I restocked... I even use it for layering with other fragrances. This was the first fragrance from the Zara & Jo Malone collaboration I got back in 2020 and I’m still trying to get em all! All the collab scents are amazing but this is still my favourite from the entire collaboration.

Juicy grapefruit, very light vetiver, soapy clean vibes, and that's it, I like it a lot. It's great for layering leather scents like Ombre Leather or gourmands, I am adding some twist with it to L'Oreal Angel Fantasm, which is boring by itself. Very simple and lovable if you like grapefruit. I use it with cacao nutty chocolate body cream, smells fantastic. Longevity is 2-3 hours, and projection is medium to intimate. Cap is magnetic. Good job Zara.

Ohoy, incredible find! I have been keeping my fingers on button to buy Guerlains classic Pamplelune for a while now. I was just having a little fun at zara and suddenly couldnt believe that I find Nice dupe of Guerlain! Jippee! Ok, Id love to have Og too, but Im planing to get new trip to zara. ;) EDIT Actually No.. I got happy too fast with it- drydown isnt nice, its like floorcleaning juice. Not buying.

To my nose, the grapefruit accord is spot-on. Grapefruit peeled in yo face. And some basenotesfixatives like vetiver or whatever. The longevity is great on my skin ( unusual thing) ~ 10 hours !?! Skinscent, yes, but for a fruity-fresh-woody fragrance it’s superb! And first hour the sillage is great. What’s up with these new releases from zara?!? Great quality! For the price (€30) it’s more than fair.

While I like the original, I wasn’t fond of its musky base or its fleeting nature. The elixir omits the musk in favor of an amber base and dials up the longevity to an acceptable level. For its price, it would be very challenging to find a better grapefruit-centered perfume, and I will be stocking up with a few bottles immediately.

An elixir is exactly what the original Vetiver Pamplemousse needed. I already loved that one but it was too flat, perfect for layering though. This one has more richness and develops more. It slightly reminds me of Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche and Eau Givrée. A lovely clean and fresh fragrance for both men and women.

Lovely green citrus with a sweet note coming from the mandarin. Not sharp edges at all, as you would expect from the grapefruit. Well blended. Brava Jo Malone.

Longer lasting but more feminine-floral in comparison with the OG. Wouldn't wear it myself as a man but I would love a woman to smell like this

Spectacular citrus opening. Fresh, juicy, zesty, sparkly - you name it, it has it. Photorealistic, 3D, as they say - the grapefruit is very natural smelling here, and it's all over the opening. Then it slowly mellows down to the sweetness of the mandarine. The citrus notes are very present and even have some staying power, uncharacteristically for such scent profile. The same i cannot say for the base notes though, some ambiguous sweetness that could be the sweet of drying citrus juice, and the "woody, earthy depth of vetiver" they claim in their official description i cannot say i can feel much if any of that. So aside the masterclass citrus, i want to say there isn't much else under the hood there but.. the citrus in itself is spectacular enough to warrant a notice. Usually ZARA fragrances are dirt cheap, but i have noticed a trend of hiking the prices a bit with this line, and specially the "elixir" versions, and i cannot say its warranted. Still 35 euro for 100ml is not a king's ransom, but i liked them more when it was 25.

this might be the most photorealistic citrus I've ever smelt, if you closed your eyes the opening literally evokes peeling a mandarin/grapefruit. For that reason it is quite invigorating, great for warmer weather and daily use, if you had a very clean or musky scent you wanted to spruce up a bit this will certainly do that. Dry down is decent, can sometimes be a bit cloying with a slightly resinous hay quality. I can imagine this attracting bugs or ants, the profile is almost so 1-1 with a real fruit to begin with so you wouldn't want to wear this for any sort of formal occasion, definitely playful or causal wear only. Its like the first day you spend on holiday exploring the town or city. I have some nice memories attached to this fragrance.

Grapefruit overdose , projects all day , which not normal for a citrus fragrance but this one hits you hard , I tried all the Zara fragrances this is the sharpest one and most memorable on the day of the test. Designed by the real jo Malone CBE ,not the brand, I like it for when I'm out but not for daily office wear , once up would I rebuy? Not really but at the same time I have no urgency to use up to make space in cabinet like some other fragrances I have.

I actually prefer the EdP since the grapefruit is juicier and the vetiver stands out more towards dry-down; this is more generic citrus-woody.

This actually reminds me of Guerlain L'homme Ideal Cologne Forte. It has the same blueprint of strong citrus that lasts through the whole experience, on top of a woody & vanillic dry down. The grapefruit/mandarin is very realistic up top, and the incense woodiness starts about 20 minutes in. I get a rose/mate like accord as well that reminds me of Poivre Pomelo Atelier Materi. I think this is solid for what it is (considering price, longevity, quality, etc.) The "reminds me of" section looks like its from people who only smelled the first 30 seconds of the fragrance on paper, so don't let it deter you.

When the low-end perfume houses or low-end fashion designers release their renditions of any kind of elixirs, don't expect any of it instead, is probably an intense eau de Cologne... They will always do their best to capitalize on the word Elixir, same as a pimp would with their... You all know. I love the black bottle edition created by Jo Malone. Good quality, but I'll carry a travel size with me to reapply every 2 or 3 hours.

Juicy sweet citrus natural smell. I loved it at first sniff. Why to spend hundreds of dollars on Acqua di Parma or Hermes citrus perfumes when we have this?????? For the price 10/10. Always take in mind that this is a natural smelling citrus fragrance and don’t expect it to have the longevity of rose or oud.

Give me Bergamot & Leather Spritz Elixir and I'll be the happiest person alive, especially with the good DHP being replaced by the 2025 version.

Love it, but I still prefer previous version of this scent. Something special was in its opening, something so juicy, tart, addictive

In the opening it’s the original pumped up, but then it goes in an entirely different direction.
