Zippo On The Road

I love this fragrance, quite different.

An average masculine fragrance. Very musky with a fresh undertone (like herbs. I would say Lavender, but since there's not a note listed, is probably the Patchouli). Not unique or new AT ALL. Actually i feel like i smelled it before in a hundred other fragrances. But not bad at all either. A very safe scent. To me, smells like a guy would want to smell like after a nice bath in a hot day. It's an everyday and every night scent, for the guy who doesn't really care about fragrances. For the guy who likes to smells good and 'manly', but does not want to 'choose' between perfumes. Totally safe blind buy, good for gifts (since the bottle is beautiful, exactly like a Zippo Lighter). I've smelled the same fragrances in a lot more expensive brands, so overall, is a nice one. I would probably buy it again, since is moderately cheap and nice. (also, you get the resemblance with Zippo The Original. They're like brothers, but with their own personalities. One is more serious, and you would mostly find him at a coffee shop, or a night out, and the other - on the road - is more rough and adventurous. It's like On The Road were the day-time-version of The Original. Day Time, not Sport).

Hmmm..... I just can't get along with this fragrance. Something in it just turns my nose up. I can't tell if it's the musk (which comes across super-strong to my nose). Normally I enjoy musk, there is something not quite right here.... Definitely not recommended as a blind buy. On the other hand I like the bottle design. If only the juice inside were better I've tried it twice and same reaction both times. I can't go through that again... Fragrance 1/10 Longevity 6/10 Bottle Design 7/10 OK I won't be getting another Zippo... :

The history of Zippo began in 1930 and survives until today, such great success achieved with its famous cigarette lighters of unlimited guarantee. Is part of the unconscious masculine to think in a Zippo, automatically, whenever something comes along related to the action of provide fire, whether to light a single cigarette, or in a movie scene. There is not, in this context, anything more classic than see a zippo lighter being fired. I also believe that, even those who do not smoke, feel a certain attraction to have one of these lighters. There are thousands of models with different notches, themes, etc. and the company used very well this appeal, when decided to put their fragrances in bottles with the same shape of the lighters. The perfume industry itself has already surrendered to the virile image of Zippo lighters with releases such as XS (Paco Rabanne-1993) and its derivatives (Black XS, L’Exces, L’Aphrodisiaque) or Attitude (Giorgio Armani-2007), but the truth is that none of them carried the tradition and the unique format of a Zippo. On the Road for Men was the second creation of Zippo, released in 2011, and although it's nothing groundbreaking, is also far from bad. It was conceived for those who do not stick to anything, who cherish freedom, seeking the unconventional. Has notes of grapefruit, lemon oil and Granny Smith apple, in the output. In the heart, were inserted notes of iris, lotus flower and musk; and at the base, white patchouli from Indonesia and Cashmere wood. In my opinion, it's a floral-Woody that arises with citrus fruit nuances, representing the spark of flame, going to a floral heart which, during the initial minutes, it's kind of nauseating, but that improves, completely, when the base notes become more present and the cashmere wood emerges, exuberant, with its synthetic and sensual nuances. The projection was very weak on my skin, but has remained constant for a long time. In a few moments, made me remember an old cologne I once had, called Territory, from the Harley-Davidson brand. Particularly, I think that On the Road was created to be loaded inside the adventurer man's rucksack, so that it can be exposed, all around, in moments of reapplication. After all, what's the point of having a Zippo if not to show to the others?
