Ginger Babe

It’s ok? It’s not as zesty as I remembered. Wonder if they reformulated? Instead of a sharp ginger smell, I get shaving cream. Literally shaving cream when the dry down hits. So yes Jo Malone may not last long nor project , BUT this doesn’t have the bite that Malone ginger has. Someone below mentioned they got cinnamon? I didn’t! I got subdued ginger nutmeg and the sweetness of caramel eh I know when I make my gingerbread dough? It’s zesty spicy! This was such a let down Kinda bummed! It was harder to get than last year when it came out and a bit more money as well and not as spicy as I hoped! It feels like the middle eastern scents, tone down spicy perfumes and make them sweet grrr annoying?!! I wanted mostly spicy not this... it’s not as annoying as khamrah ( where yay I smell cinnamon but it’s too syrupy) but idk I feel like my Arabic dupe scents curiosity is OVER!? It’s just never what you fully hope it will be. IMO. I think all these companies are connected? Aroma and Paris corner etc ? Where there’s these big gaudy bottles and you may like th scent but they just don’t perform that well!! We need to start being honest with ourselves! (Another similar ex is coconut lagoon big ole bottle and I actually love how refreshing that one is and the smell! BUT performance stinks! ) There’s always something missing or off ba hum bug

as a dupe: i don't own ginger biscuit, i only smelled it in store once and have a magazine sample. ginger biscuit smells more well blended and has less of a zingy opening. essentially, i can tell it's the OG and the price reflects the higher quality. but the dry down is still similar enough to where i'm happy with ginger babe and don't feel the need to own ginger biscuit. on its own: this is a gingersnap cookie in a perfume. my main gripe is the opening: while it's getting less offensive as it sits, when i first got it the first spray of ginger babe was just straight up grated ginger. nothing else. eventually it dried down and the other notes came in, turning it into a yummy gingersnap/iced oatmeal cookie scent, but it took way longer than i could stand to smell like fresh ginger. thankfully it only takes a few minutes for the heart notes to come in now so i can wear it. i do wish it was a bit richer, it's a bit of a soft scent. at the same time, the softness/airiness lends this "crunchy" vs soft/dense cookie feel to it which i think is neat. unfortunately it's really something i would've wanted to wear back when it was too gingery, but i'm sure it'll be perfect when the christmas season rolls back around.

Aroma Concepts has upgraded this bottle to a full size and it looks better now. I love it. Mixes extremely well with Angham. Update 11/28/25: The bottles are gorgeous and the cap is heavy. The first few sprays from the atomizer were squirting but after that it dispersed nicely. To me, the scent smells better than the smaller bottles that were on sale. I've never smelled Ginger Biscuit and I did not buy this to be a dupe. I saw all those spices and I was all in. It's warm and spicy to me. Not overly sweet which I love. With the smaller bottle it got substantially better after about a week. So, I think it'll be the same with the full size but I liked this one straight away so there is that. I got good performance before and I don't see that changing. Ymmv but it's an affordable gem to my nose. Great scent with a very nice bottle upgrade. 12/16/25 Has to be mentioned, the alcohol smell is very noticeable upon spraying. My first few times it didn't seem that loud but it's screechy now. Still smells good but brace yourself. I don't remember the small bottle having that issue but since I dumped it into a bottle mixed with Angham I may have avoided it.

This comes off a bit more masculine than I had expected. Despite not having great longevity or projection, the scent itself is deep and rich. I can smell most of the notes as it progresses, especially the cinnamon and nutty notes! It’s kind of dark but very gourmand. Smells like a holiday dessert! I’ve been layering this with Paris Corner Creamy Biscuit for a true Ginger cookie scent! This has become yet another perfume my brother reaches for from my collection.😅 I’m only bummed that this doesn’t last longer. After an hour or 2 it’s practically gone and just barely hanging on, which is a shame because it’s smells great! 😭 I can tell this is something I’ll be wearing heavily during fall and especially winter time.

This opens as a fresh spicy ginger and warms into a creamy gourmand. I love it but this is a layering perfume; unfortunately, the longevity is lacking . It reminds me of Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit. I’ll probably layer this with Ginger Biscuit and MIIM Miic’s dupe, come fall and winter. Maybe by then it’ll have some lasting power, as well( I just got this perfume about a week ago). Edit: it’s November and I came to say the longevity is much better after it sitting for some time. The opening is smoother as well.

Very spicy gourmand. Smells like Halloween & Thanksgiving. Warm biscuits covered with ginger & cinnamon.

Okay, I can demystify this one because I see it super clearly. People are calling it masculine, and there are a few reasons. If it's a gourmand affair you're after, the Jo Malone is more so. This opens with a big smack of perfumer’s alcohol - that brief aftershave-y moment you get when a scent is basically shouting “I contain ethanol!” But it’s a split second, not a full top-note situation. It snaps straight into cold biscuit and though there is warmth, that warmth is from the tonka bean, which some noses read as slightly masculine or woody. There’s also a musk doing its thing here, a cool, herbal, fresh sort of musk that adds depth and plays well with the ginger. Once you hit the dry down, it’s very much gingersnap, not ginger cookie. Remember, biscuits in the UK are a cold affair - you warm them up by dunking them in tea. I genuinely don’t think it’s giving masculine or shaving cream. But if you’re worried, you definitely have at least one vanilla or vanilla-caramel situation lying around. Add this to that: boom, full gourmand ginger cookie. Gingersnap-and-ice-cream territory. It layers ridiculously well with most things and adds an instant Christmas-spice shimmer, so you can easily turn it into the ginger babe of your dreams. I would buy again.

Ginger biscuit is hard to get a hold of so I was really excited to see this pop up on the market and the reviews were promising. It is a nice, rich, ginger snap cookie frag that is excellent for the cold weather, specifically during the holidays. It smells like a delicious baked treat. Not super sweet. The ginger punches pretty strongly and you def get that vanilla and other spices. It is more close to a skin scent but of course, you can overspray and get 4/5 hrs maybe. It is not what I was expecting but exactly what the notes say it is, if that makes sense. It's cute and layer worthy.

This starts off pretty sharp and spicy! It does settle down and is a warm gourmand scent. I got this as it was supposedly a dupe for Jo Malone Ginger biscuit, which has abysmal longevity. They are in the same vein of scents but I don’t think it’s a 1:1 dupe. Maybe 75% similar. I’m not crazy about the sharp opening and hope that settles a little as my bottle matures. It does have MUCH better longevity than ginger biscuit though!

PAPER TEST ONLY: This is surprisingly soft in terms of intensity, longevity and projection. I enjoy the delicate but slightly woody & starchy hazelnut note, though I read that at the heart rather than the base of the fragrance. If I wasn’t reading the notes, my nose would interpret this as a nutmeg & cinnamon forward ginger scent that is trying to replicate gingerbread cookies. Regrettably, GB misses the mark. I believe this is a dupe of Jo Malone’s “Ginger Biscuit,” which I haven’t tried. I can’t say whether or not GB is a close version of the original. However, I can say that I was hoping for this to smell like Christmas, reminiscent of warming spices and red velvet ribbons, without going into the Angel Share/Khamara scent DNA. I seriously wanted to love this, but I’m indifferent to it. Real bummer. 3/5

I sold my Ginger Biscuit Jo Malone because I didn’t want to smell like a ginger snap, which is exactly what it smelled like-a ginger snap cookie. I’m not into realistic edible gourmands. I know people love them but there’s something that feels off to me while smelling of food. I need them to have some woods or florals in the notes to cut through the foodie aspects of them. This looks like it’s going to be in the same category as GB.
