Short Review: One of my favorite scents to smell but the performance is pretty weak. It’s a clean, simple, crisp and invigorating scent (a nice grapefruit at the opening but not too sweet). Bright but refined. Good for all occasions. It does not overly project and becomes a skin scent quickly (seems like some bottles perform better than others). It’s non offensive and a compliment getter when people are close. It is good for what I want in a daily frag: to subtly smell clean, fresh and put together without overthinking it. Comes in a big 4.2 oz bottle and is dirt cheap so I can overspray. I do wish it stayed around a little longer. I like this stuff. Detailed Review: I’ve gotten some better performing bottles and some weaker performing bottles. There is an EDP and an EDT (they look similar and I don’t think fragrantica makes a distinction). The EDP liquid is slightly purple. I think the previous EDT liquid was slightly yellow before but the recent EDT bottle I got was purple like the EDP. There are other variations too (ie. Classic aqua, Classic Citrus) that look similar but are different frags altogether and they have different review pages. The Classic EDT and EDP are not projection monsters to say the least. Sometimes it almost disappears right after over spraying. Sometimes it hangs around more subtly close to the skin. Overall it’s a clean, simple, wonderful scent. It does not overly project (even when I overspray). It’s non offensive, smells clean and is a compliment getter when people are close. Citrus and white florals make it crisp and bright but it’s refined. It can be worn as a gym scent, at the office, heading to church or on a date night. It’s capable and at ease in all situations and occasions (mostly in a very subtle way). Some might find it lacks projection (I agree), is too linear, simple or boring. For me, it is good for what I want in a daily fragrance: to subtly smell clean, fresh and put together without overthinking it. The clear glass bottle is simple, attractive and large (4.2 oz. vs. typical 3.4 oz.). The cap is cheap plastic. The cost is cheap. Atomizer is fine. I like this stuff. Smell: 9.5 out of 10 (for its category) Performance: 3 out of 10 Overall: 7out of 10 considering the price.

I'm gonna re-review this. I love the scent. Green citrus floral notes in harmony giving a relaxing, calming, clean scent. To my nose, it reminds me of freshly printed magazines or brochures. This is probably the most inoffensive fragrance I've put my nose on. In fact, I'm so confident it wont offend that I tried spraying this on a carpool a few times and I got no negative reactions. The only problem with this is how diluted it is when you spray it straight off the bottle. Sometimes I don't even know if I'm spraying hand sanitizing alcohol on me or I'm spraying a fragrance. The trick is to decant. I decanted it on a travel-sized bottle and I guess it evaporated a good amount of alcohol because it smells so concentrated and much more long-lasting. Overall, if this lasted an hour or two longer and it didn't have this alcohol problem, I would have had this as my signature scent forever.

A preppy soap fragrance that stays true to its name. Slightly zesty, aromatic citrus rounded by aldehydes, fresh and green like tea served in a spa. A very zen scent that's reminiscent of polo shirts and yachts. Chaste, but overwhelmingly pleasant. Charming and minimalist. EDIT: I got a lot more fruit from this today: melon, underripe starchy green banana, and kiwi. The top notes are still lemony fresh, but the heart is sweeter and a touch creamy. EDIT EDIT: This has become my favorite after shower fragrance and refresher for the heat! It's inspired me to look for more comforting citrus like it. Definitely a staple in my wardrobe. EDIT EDIT EDIT: I've had a 1.7oz spray since February and I'm now dangerously close to finishing the bottle. Classic has become a workhorse in my wardrobe. It simply smells good, and was easy for me to wear over this grueling summer.

A very fresh unisex citrus scent made unique with a heavy dose of honeysuckle. Extremely dilute formula, you can use it quite liberally without offending. It fades quickly as many citrus scents do. One note I don't see above is grapefruit, it's in there, white or green tea as well, pronounced. None of the heavy citrus notes of bergamot, but fresh citrus and flowers and tea. I do wonder sometimes if my masculinity will be questioned when I wear this, but it seems to work well for men and women... like a CK1 fragrance. I still like this one a lot. It's a lightweight unoffensive spring/summer/warm weather fragrance. Good for the office or everyday, I know a lot of people have this, and it doesn't cling to the skin forever, but it's pretty wonderful.

I have loved this fragrace for years and years now. Its my number 1 default when i dont know what to wear. By far the most versatile scent in my wardrobe and completely unisex. I ran out of my original bottle i bought years ago and bought a new one recently, both times from the BR store directly. They DEFINITELY reformulated this, sad to say. It has way more of that pink grapefruit note found in their W and M fragrances, which wasnt there before. It also used to last FOREVER. Not anymore. I guess i cant complain though, considering I got a 4.2 oz bottle for $18 on their Black Friday sale. Still one of my favorites nonetheless. I do get compliments with this.

Freshness in a bottle!!! Great clean smelling spring/summer scent. It initially smells like lime but settles down to something more subtle and fresh. The only down side ,for me, is that it does not last for more than 5 hours. This is a safe scent to use in an office. No one would be offended. Beautiful. Heavenly, I should say. Nice and clean and very well blended. Immediately thought that this is what angels smell like. Love that it has that faint musk note present enough to be unisex and that men can enjoy smelling like fresh linen and light flowers too. Was genuinely surprised by longevity and sillage. I thought it would be terrible for the great price and clean scent. But it lasted almost six hours on my skin. That's a good frag in my books. A little linear is the only complaint I could make. It does smell relatively the same from opening to dry down. But some could see that as a positive. Scent 8/10 Longevity 6/10 Sillage 5/10

I am a huge fan of this fragrance. It is not offensive and doesn’t really project but it smells really nice and pleasant and clean and fresh like everyone else said already. You can wear this to the grocery store in sweats or to the bar with friends in a t-shirt and jeans, or to the office. This fits most situations. It doesn’t scream at all for attention and doesn’t even really beckon a compliment, but nobody will ever be offended. This might be more for the wearer ham others around them. Unisex for sure, but not overly feminine or masculine. Well done.

I like this, make no mistake about it, this is a great fragrance. Unlike many others here, I don't find this ultra zingy to the point of leaning more towards masculinity. Citruses are evenly mixed with the florals that's why on first sniff, I found this to be a proper unisex fragrance. The scent evolves throughout. Citruses on the top, then when the heart develops so does the florals. Woods and musk becomes noticable at the base. Perfect for summer and casual days. A good buy and would buy again if this bottle runs out.

This was my mom's perfume when I was a kid. My dad is super sensitive to fragrances and this is the only one he could tolerate. It's very 90's, unisex, fresh, clean, casual. The honeysuckle, clementine, and ginger are most noticeable to my nose. When I got my new bottle it smelled somewhat familiar and brought me back to my childhood, but my mom didn't think it was very similar, so it has likely been reformulated. There's a certain ...glue note in the opening that doesn't smell quite right, but it dissipates quickly.

So glad I discovered this little gem. Freshly laundered linen beast. Lasts all day. Which is strange because i see it getting low marks for longevity on Fragrantica. I am the FIRST person who will tell you if a frag sucks in the longevity department. I spray my bottle and this beauty lasts all day on me, skin or clothing. Did i get lucky? Or is the frag just being hated on? Either way, I will be re-upping when my bottle done.

I have finished at least three bottles in the past. It is a safe scent for office and almost all social occasions. Clean and crisp and gives a very pleasant mood. Love the classy, thick glass bottle. Extremely good value given the price. Weak performance in terms of lasting power, but can be sprayed all over generously without over-powering.

The smell of this is fresh, clean, joyful, lovely. The only problem is that it is very soft and weak, but the bottle is huge, the price is cheap so it can be reapplied several times a day. 1-2 hours max has that cool freshness. The most intensive notes to my nose are - honeysuckle, mandarin and green notes - i love it!

I have been wearing this fragrance on and off since it first came out. It's a fresh clean scent that's citrus and green on me. I like wearing it when I'm on leisure time and dressed comfortably and just want a subtle inoffensive scent. If you like CK One, which I do, then you will like this fragrance.

I picked this up at TJ Maxx this week, 2 bottles for $10! It smells way more expensive than that. Beautiful clean citrus musk. Makes me nostalgic for those 90s mall scents. Is there a soapiness to it? Yes. Don't let that scare you away, though. It's one of the best clean scents out there.

One of my favorites..It stays on my skin all day long..very clean, fresh at first, then the base notes linger for a long time..I keep smelling my arms and clothes when I wear this..love it! I have and love the Classic too but this one is the best fragrance of Banana Republic!

Had this as my signature fragrance for ages, and is still one of my top favorites. A perfect crisp, upbeat scent that isn't too harsh - ideal for everyday wear. On my skin, I don't find any of the notes overpower the other; it just creates a lovely air of "clean".

Just fresh, clean linen. I don't know why anyone would rate this as having poor longevity. As the owner of over 250 bottles of fragrance let me tell you this lasts a good 10 hours on me, skin or fabric. Did I get lucky with a magic bottle?

I got this dirt cheap at a Marshall's & I'm happy I did. Awesome soapy clean scent & a good dumb reach for a hot Texas summer day. Not a crowd pleaser but I love it. Pretty similar to Arrogant by English Laundry to me.

Male review: If I have to take one fragrance to my deserted Island then this would be the one. The best fragrance out there for me. I can wear this all the time and everyday...Summer,Winter, Spring Fall -)
