Prima T – Eau de Parfum

A very old school, sharp floral perfume. The opening was filled with very natural smelling narcissus soon joined in by loads of galbanum, very classy, feminine, a bit old school, but not dated in any way. The dry down reminded me a bit of many classics, there even was a slight skankyness from galbanum + musk. Silage was very good and staying power was also excellent, more than 7 hours on me with an appealing skanky/powdery dry down. Worth the try if you love both narcissus and galbanum and are not afraid of a bit old school smelling florals.

Vintage Victorian chypre. The galbanum, roses, narcissus, violet, lily, and musk blend of elixir. Honey sweet, and orange patchouli are giving the blend an artistic aristocrat frame. An imaginative heavenly blend that captured my sense once i applied it on my skin! unbelievably perfect!

Vintage perfume lovers take notice! Prima T smells like a classic powdery, floral, musky, chypre. I am not a huge fan of actual vintage perfumes. I do enjoy “modern vintages,” and I’m a huge fan of this house. This perfume seems thoughtfully crafted from high quality ingredients. I detect some bright florals as well as a dose of red rose. The musk doesn't seem animalic. I seriously believe there is oakmoss in here. If there isn't, I am even more impressed with how they created the illusion of it. While I rarely categorize perfumes as being worn for day or night, I would feel a tad awkward wearing this in the daytime because it smells old Hollywood glam. I picture black and white film stars walking down the red carpet, flashing lights. In comparison, I am just an ordinary person. Sillage is huge, and this is the Eau de Bruno, not the oil. The fragrance lasts all day and projects very well. The closest thing I have smelled to this in recent memory is Amouage Gold, which also is a modern perfume that smells like it could be vintage. This is a siren that deserves two solid thumbs up.

NOTE: I am reviewing the original formulation of this EDP which comes in a silver cannister style bottle. It is described more as Powdery Fresh Floral. Starts with a bitter green Galbanum note and then moves quickly into a pollen laden yellow flower mélange with narcissus at center stage. I am trying this during a bit of a heat wave, and it very quickly moves into a powderiness that is just a bit dirty. I can definitely see the comparisons to old school fragrances here due to this powder profile however deeper in the dry down the patchouli starts to reveal itself and the powder recedes, and it becomes a modern unisex my skin but better musky patchouli skin scent. I look forward to wearing this in cooler weather, I think the heat is melting some of its complexity. It is definitely not as formal a perfume as one would believe based on previous reviews. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

If you love flowers -I mean sincerely love flowers- then there is no old or new school. There is just the scent of flowers. Bruno Acampora managed to create the flower bouquet PRIMA T that leads you to the real stuff. Fresh cut flowers, springlike, genuine and timeless with a strong focus on narcissus and galbanum. Flowers smelled the same in the Middle Ages as they smell now. We just got distracted by fashiontrends and influencers. They decide that something is called vintage or modern. I understand from that point of view why they call PRIMA T an old school perfume. I really do. With a bit of imagination you can think of Victorian settings or Italian operas in the twenties. But with a bit more imagination you just know that PRIMA T is timeless.

The previous reviews are spot on. This smells very old fashioned in a classic kind of way, natural and uncompromising, complex and severe. A lovely antidote to all the chemical, fruity, sweet stuff. The longer I wear it the more impressed I am. As it opens up it becomes marginally warmer, rounder and more beautiful. Good stuff.

Gorgeous chypre one of the finest I've smelt. Has a vintage vibe and very strong with great sillage. Reminds me of a superior version of the pre reformulated Fiji perfume.
