Ck One Summer Daze

Personally, I love the CK One Summer fragrance series. Every year, they renew this series of fragrances. It comes with innovative, refreshing scents that are suitable for summer and suitable for both sexes, and its price is very reasonable. CK One Summer is a very refreshing fragrance that contains kumquat as the main scent. The idea of the fragrance is completely based on it, hence the light orange color of the bottle. Then come the scents of iced tea and then light mint on a base of Sorbettolide (musk): comfortable, soft, fruity, clean, powdery, and sensual notes... similar to the smell of skin. Overall it gives the feeling that you are drinking a can of Fanta orange. This fragrance is suitable for after showering in the summer, and it is also suitable as a first-class refreshing home fragrance. The fragrance performance is below average and lasts for about an hour or two with a very close scent on the skin. If you are a fragrance collector, a lover of fresh scents, or a fan of unconventional scents, then know that this fragrance will satisfy your taste.

Beautiful orange mint tea, dripping with condensation. Taking it all in, not at a hot beach, but on a classic pool chair at a backyard cookout. Sunny, bright kumquat, maybe some kumquat leaf in there, dries into warm, earthy vetiver. A brach-y presence and near pine-y citrus composition remind me of the orange harvest season in Florida, where ripe kumquats always grow nearby. This is what a fragrance is supposed to do: Take you back - Summer Daze indeed. Typically, CK One Summer gives us an outstanding alcoholic lime cocktail on even years like 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2018. 2020 came with a pandemic, as a result, a less-social and forgettable Summer entry. Expecting a new summer beverage this time around, CK One gave us a refreshing, booze-free citrus mint tea that takes on the creamy, nostalgic, orange character of a melting Creamsicle as the afternoon fades into twilight. The base has a rarely used but gorgeous, fruity Sorbettolide musk from Firmenich, one of the world's premier perfumers. Unisex joy in a bottle. As usual, ignore the over-sprayers.

It's going to be a small review but this perfume screams Kumquat in every ways possible. It is citrusy, fresh, smells like freshly washed linen hanging outdoors to dry on a sunny and windy summer afternoon. The Tea note and the Mint also helps the Kumquat for the freshness. Then you get an aromatic slight undertone with the vetiver. And a clean finish with the white musk. But all your going to perceive mainly is the Kumquat and the Tea. Don't get me wrong, the review isn't short because I hate the fragrance, it is short because I feel like it is so effective that you really just have to try it. It is so cheap and affordable, if you think the OG CK ONE has to many notes, this one can be a cool alternative. It represents the hot sand, hot breeze during a nice trip to the beach, while its 2021 brother seems more aquatic and cool. They represent each aspect of spending a whole day at the beach. It is an 8/10 :)

I am very biased towards the old style ck summer (2006-2014). The last years releases have been pretty much crap. This on the other hand, sort of returns to the ”right” formula. Not 100 % like the old days, but the closest in about 10 years. It’s a ck summer frag allright, but goes into the direction of Aqua Amara from Bvlgari (maybe the tea?). After 30 minutes I finally the sweet fruits come out. At this point it's summer bliss. This is the one that I have missed all these years. Summer in a bottle. Dry down is the best. Not expecting performance but it doesn’t matter. It’s made for dumb reaching during hot humid days when you just want to rock a white tee and head to a beach. A personal summer pick me up, not a fragrance that you wear for others to smell. My final verdict? The warm weather king is back. Buy it.

I've never been into CK One or its flankers, but as the bottle looked so tempting (crazy about the colour orange), I just gravitated towards it. I can't really explain what it is about this fragrance. Is it something unique? No. Something revolutionary? Definitely not. Do the notes speak to me? Not at all! But there's something incredibly addictive about it. A bit bitter and zesty, however kinda sweetish kumquat and I'm so glad it's the most detectable note. I wouldn't have imagined that there's also the tea note, as I don't usually like it and I'm so glad it doesn't stand out. The performance is not the best, but a very uplifting, lovely scent for summer. I have a feeling it will perform better during warmer days. I'll grab this one as soon as I find a good deal during sales.

Just tried this at the local perfumery. Zingy and fresh, bitter and uplifting kumquat. The opening is orangy and aquatic in a wonderful way, but doesnt last very long... the base underneath is a bit more spicy minty and musky. Like all CK ́s flankers its unisex and just out of shower fresh. Longevity is about 3-4 hours and silage not impressive. But oh how I love them all. Timeless, for all genders and all occasions. Summer in a bottle. A big love from me- gotta own it.

Like the previous reviewer I got it on an opening release deal. I have to say I'm very impressed with the scent. Fresh orange fizz is how I would describe it. Longevity is a typical summer fragrance (a bit lacking). But I find this to be such a differently unique flanker on the CK summer line that it's well worth a purchase. It's wonderful

I love this sm i think its a great younger guy summer fragrance but like most of these comments it barely lasts. Its very zesty orangey and fresh but I would say it is unisex leaning masculine. I loves catching whiffs of it when its hot and it refreshes me but it wont last you more than 2 hours.

I found this in duty free in Norway for about $30. score! I love it. Citrus scents are an absolute favorite of mine and this one is lovely. I smell orange more than kumquat. It does not last that long, but I am happy to spray it multiple times of day. It lifts my mood every time.

Im so used to green tea notes,I was pleasantly surprised by the black tea note in this.with the kumquat it reminds me of the orange Tang and iced tea mix from childhood.very nice and not as masculine as other ck one summer editions

Opened citrusy and aquatic at the same time. Interesting. But overall I think it’s rather mild for me, hardly projecting at all. But beautiful enough scent for a price that’s doesn’t hurt to add to my collection.

A blast of fresh sweet and tart kumquat. I like to use it when I’m feeling tired or down. It really wakes me up and lifts my mood. It doesn’t last long, but none of the CK One fragrances do. I love it.

Like eating a juicy orangey fruit salad in the shower. Very tasty and summery but still very clean and fresh. One of my dailies at the minute, still got me smellin all nice after a long day at work.

It is a very clean, very stylish and truly noticeable scent on the person. In addition to its freshness, it is a perfect summer scent with its very light sweet citrus notes.

Absolutely love this new scent, perfect for this type of year - and packaging and bottle really tie it all together so well. Summer in a bottle!

Calvin Klein CK One Summer Daze is the latest of the CK One Summer releases and first to have a new name and not an added year to it. It is a weird dictomy of a fragrance that smells different but similar at the same time. It is not like any CK One Summer release I've owned or smelt (I admittedly haven't smelt too too many of them) but it can smell similar to others. CK One Summer Daze opens similar to Cuba Wild Heart with a kumquat note. It is citric and can smell like a bright orange. To my nose it is more orangey than Cuba Wild Heart and more like Bath and Body Works Sunshine Mimosa. I use that body wash because it is a nice smelling citrus. CK One Summer Daze then goes minty. And it isn't sharp like a spirament. I also get a slight tea but it is by no means as strong as CK Everyone or CK One Summer 2019 with their tea note. The base is similar to most CK One Summery releases and has musk. I really do not get vetiver from it. CK One Summer Daze is rather unisex. I don't think it is distinctly masculine, nor is it destinctly feminine. It is I think one of the most balanced unisex fragrances between which gender it works for. I can easily see most men and women who like very bright citrus wearing this. CK One Summer Daze is perfect for summertime. You may also get warmer spring and Indian summer (early warm fall days) wearings out of it. It is mostly a day fragrance, I wouldn't wear it for night at all. I could easily see myself wearing this on my next cruise in May of next year. It works for work and casual settings. CK One Summer Daze has the SOSDD for Calvin Klein fragrances, in particular CK One fragrances. By that I mean, anyone who has owned Calvin Klein CK One, much less most CK fragrances, know that projection is mild to moderate at best and around 3-5 hours of longevity. That said, when this does his discounters, I would say get it if you like bright citric fragrances. CK One Summer Daze I feel may get overlooked since it is yet another CK One Summer flanker with lighter performance. That said, I think it stands out at least in the past few years of CK One Summer releases. CK One 2020, mandarin orange and sea salt. CK One 2019 is a prototype CK Everyone with more Ed Hardy Love & Luck and a driftwood note. CK One 2018 was CK One 2014 with a slight change, as was CK One 2016. CK One 2017 was a unisex take on Polo Blue. CK One Summer Daze really stands out from the pack and for that I think it is a 7.7 out of 10. I think the 2019 is better, but the unique factor of Summer Daze gives it a close second.

Refreshing pick me up fragrance. Just got back from my local Superdrug, was quite surprised that they had this in the display box, so I asked to test it because I had seen a few reviewers say it was a decent fragrance. I quite liked it, projection and longevity weren't great at all, but apart from CK Obsession, I don't get good performance out of any of the CK fragrances. It's a citrus-forward fragrance, smells good, and would be nice for a pool environment, I prefer this as a spritz fragrance just as a freshen-up feel-good scent. I don't get much of the tea note, I do get some musk too though. For me, it's a 2.5/5

Just smelled this at Primor and I have to say that it surprised me to good, I was expecting a more citrusy scent, but it was actually so fresh on the paper, that looking at other stuff in the shop it was coming so fresh to my nose that I went back to spray it on my wrist. I would even compare its freshness to Clinique Happy for men. But the happiness ended after 2-3 hours when I could barely smell something on my skin. If you do not mind reapplying this, I do suggest it - a definetely summer breeze. I will go for it this summer, but have it with me in the office to reapply!

This summer is going back in time when the first summer flankers appeared. It is very pleasant but evaporates in an hour, so no longevity at all. I am happy that it is different from all summer fragrances in the last 10 years by CK but I hoped for better performance. My all-time-favourite will remain Summer 2019, just unbeatable. Last year was terrible with extremely cheapish flanker but this year it gets better.

@Ceau de Parfum, CK One Summer 2020 was made and planned to be released prior to the pandemic. The fragrantica article discussing the release of the fragrance was Februrary 2020 and the formulation had to be created long before that. It was just a change in direction. It was a nice sea salt heavy fragrance. I do agree that this has a nice mint tea but with a heavy citric open, IMHO more citric than mint.

The normal CK ONE used to be my signature scent years ago due to the fact it was so inoffensive and nice, and this is like this. Also a very inoffensive fragrance and damn it does smell good, very citrusy and some mint in there. This is definitely gonna be the summer fragrance I'm gonna be using this year. Note: definitely in typical CK One fashion, this dissipates, like very quickly.

Very fresh and uplifting. It has the CK One Summer vibe - unisex, refreshing and...not very longlasting :-(. Citrusy and sightly bitter opening, mint tea in the middle and vetivery/musky ending. I hope for better performance in hot and humid air. I love kumquat as a scent and this one is very good, I will use it with pleasure despite longevity (or shortevity ;-). Nice and well done.

I can see why people wont like it since it's very synthetic smelling but I find this one to be charming and pleasant. Again it is synthetic and quite juvenile smelling but this does give me happy summer vibes which is what the fragrance was made for. I think this is a solid pick-up and a fragrance I won't mind spraying on for the gym and just to run quick errands. Solid. 8/10

When I bought it, it was early spring, it was not cold outside, but not warm either. So I sprayed it on my arms and 30 minutes later I had to wash it off, it was that bad. It smelled really weird, I couldn’t detect what is it. Fast forward to summer, extremely hot few days in June - and oh my - I love it! So fresh and green! It gives me “carefree summer day” vibes.

Just bought this today as a blind buy because i was looking for a fresh summer scent. Upon first spray i get a string alcohol scent which dissipates within a few seconds, next the kumquat it feels quite dirty/dusty to my nose. Tried sniffing after a half hour but still its there but dusty. Lasted 3 hours before i really had to sniff extra hard. Would recommend.

This one screams happiness and summer for me. When I smell it I imagine a typical leo "hot girl summer" wearing a tennis outfit and slaying. It smells like "you go girl" in a bottle, like you are playful and sweet, like the sun is your ally and like you are able to kill someone and make them fall in love with a smile

Actually more mandarin than kumquat. Other than that, a variation of the yearly CK One offering, citrus forward fresh, pleasant, short lived and versatile. Comes with removable atomizer and cap, no stickers this time. Works best as an after shower body splash, drop the atomizer and enjoy this for what it really is.

I tested this in the store twice and while it does smell good for the Summer, it literally disappeared after 20-30 minutes! I could BARELY smell anything and i sprayed a lot. Like i said, it does smell nice and fresh/citrusy mixed with mint/tea but the performance... It's a scam!

Tested this one the other day and the opening was so good, very zesty and fruity, after a while it becomes more spicy fresh and creamy, one of the better summer flankers from CK in some time, if i can get this one at a god price i will definitely buy a bottle.

It’s like showering yourself with orange juice, but it doesn’t stick on you. It lasts about as long as it takes for you to get ready for the day, but i bought it as a discounted item so I can’t complain much Good choice all around

I like it. Opening is this fresh, sweet and fruity. Very much a unisex scent. Then after opening it turns more to green and aromatic. Which leans then more towards masculine.

It's a perfume alternative of Aperol Spritz, bright and citrusy, perfect for long summer days. I'd say the sillage is decent but the longevity is a bit lacking.

This must be the weakest perfume in my collection. It’s so weak it’s not even funny. The smell is nice, resembles a freshly peeled orange, but, so damn weak. Did I mention that it’s weak? Within in minutes of spraying it, it starts to dissipate, after 30 minutes you can only detect if you press the nose close to where it was sprayed, skin or clothes, after 1 hour it’s all but gone. You get better mileage out of a cheap scented soap. Do not waste money on this. If you want some orange fragrance buy something from a clone/copy house, or a bottle of orange essential oil (just be smart and careful not to add undiluted essential oil directly to your skin), or an actual real orange and rub it’s peel on yourself! Anything else will give you better value for money than CK Summer Daze.

I love it. It screams kumquat at every corner. Opening notes are like freshly juiced KUMQUAT in your nose, with the crispness of the tea/mint notes underneath. The kumquat notes remain throughout the entire dry down until it finally disappears and can vaguely smell like certain brands of sunscreen during the drydown. Amazing scent for spring + summer. My only problem with this is that the longevity is *awful*. Those freshly juiced kumquat notes are pretty much gone after 15 minutes, and the whole scent won't last much longer than 1-2 hours or so before it comes a skin scent. Works really well fresh out of the shower!

On me Summer Daze starts promising: summery, carefree, happy, relaxed, youthful, fresh, juicy, likable, sweet. It's not the height of sophistication and it's not trying to be. Summer Daze doesn't have much on its mind, it's just here to kick back and have a good time. But the sweetness is a little too much, and unfortunately as time passes my nose gets tired of it. What starts pleasant becomes cloying and even low-key nauseating. I can't tell if this is because of how the fragrance develops on my skin, or because my nose only likes this scent in very small doses.

I really wanted to like this, it sounded so refreshing. Unfortunately it's so light that within minutes it's disappeared completely, I don't even get 30 minutes from it. Disappointing as it does smell nice but not worth purchasing a full bottle. I would recommend you purchase Elizabeth Arden Green Tea instead. Similar vibe but cheaper and while not very long lasting still has more longevity than this.

Not going to complicate things, this is very similar to Clinique Happy for men. Not a 1:1 copy. Differences are less floral and more tart citruses. If you like 'orange' fragrances try this one out. Like many here have said, longevity is abysmal so try to find a good deal if you like this scent. UPDATE 14-05-2024: Gifted it away. Pleasant, but after 100+ bottles, I find this too boring.

It smells nice at first, like freshly peeled oranges (similar to the smell of literally peeling an orange) but it leans sour and lacks the amount of sweetness I craved. Refreshing scents don't have to be super sweet, but this was maybe a 2 or 3 our of 10 sweetness, where a classic like TF Soleil Blanc or Eau de Soliel Blanc leans 4-5/10 sweet. Inoffensive, light, and slightly minty.

All I get is kumquat and mint. And they don't smell good together. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about either. Sprayed this along with CK One Reflections. Reflections is marginally better in the opening, but this one has better, sweeter, fruitier dry down. The scent lasts about an hour on me. It was an immediate skin scent after 1 minute. Overall, nothing special.

I bought this to make scent memories for my honeymoon, and I honestly drowned myself in this, used third of a bottle in just over a week, but still it disappeared too fast :( Nice, fresh summer scent, but too weak.

Beautiful citrus, quite different from the original CK One (which is one of my favourite scents). Unfortunately the musk in the dry-down smells dirty - this perfume should definitely be tested before buying, especially in the summer heat.

I’m not sure why I was so hyped for this “fragrance” but I was and I spent months searching for it in the U.S. I passed on the $80-$100 eBay offerings and finally found it available on Macy’s here in the states just a few days ago. My (unfounded) expectations being much too high probably are the main culprit but I’ve found the entire experience of the scent to be most underwhelming. First impressions were laundry soap. (Think Gain Tropical or something similar). That along with what has to be the very weakest scent in my collection in all aspects including longevity and projection/sillage. I will say after a few days it’s grown on me somewhat. The orangish slightly sweet smell is enjoyable to catch a whiff of. At $65 at Macy’s this should be a hard pass. And really there’s too many $20 bangers to even consider it at that price point. One of just a few in my collection that I’ll never buy again.

Fruity, Minty, Citrus Tea with Musk. The vetiver is not dirty or earthy. Pretty Linear. The performance is on point with other CK Summer flankers.....maybe 2-4 hours at most. Very refreshing and a good summer fragrance for a quick errand or lunch. It won't lasts much more than that. Got this at Nordstrom Rack for $35.....and in retrospect, i should have probably just waited til it hit rack stores for $20-23....but i got it earlier and paid the extra $10ish dollars. This would probably be best used out of the shower or at the gym. Nice refreshing smell.....just don't expect much performance but this is a cheapie so my expectations were lowered a little bit.....I will try layering with Molecule 01 or 02 to see if the projection and longevity are improved a bit. The opening is stunning, but it only lasts like 15 minutes or so until the fragrance starts to fall of a cliff and becomes an extreme skin scent after an hour or so. UPDATE: This has showed up at Burlington lately for $20. Don't buy it from Nordstrom Rack unless you have issues finding it in rack stores. This fragrance is pretty weak, I layered it with JHAG Not A Perfume Superdose, and while it did add a little to the projection, after a few hours, all I could smell was the Ambroxan/Cetalox in JHAG because the CK was completely gone, while the JHAG lasted all day.

Citrus lovers, rejoice! I'm very glad to have got my hands on this fairly early (at least, for the U.S. The UK seems to have had it for a while now). I love it, and as someone who regularly eats kumquats, I can definitely sense the kumquat-yness (as opposed to any other citrus) in the distinct tartness of the opening. It dries down to a straightforward, pleasant orange-y citrus, which I personally really enjoy. At this price point, it will be perfect for spraying liberally on hot summer days. It's not an exact dupe, but I think this will be a suitable replacement for my beloved Clinique Happy Splash, a sadly discontinued citrus-heavy flanker that was part of the "my happy" range. Uncomplicated (but not boring), safe blind buy for linear citrus lovers like myself.

I'm excited for this! The bottle and notes sound wonderful, I love CK one, it's one of my favorite unisex fragrances, but I never tried any summer ones, so I'll definitely keep my eye out for a sample. To whoever said CK is a terrible house, CK is not a bad house in any way shape or form, even eternity (I absolutely dislike) is a pretty fragrance, newsflash! You don't have to like the perfume to appreciate or acknowledge it. And one or two "bad" perfumes doesn't define a house, imagine if someone called you stupid because you didn't know the boiling point of mercury, like hey! I might not know that info but I'm definitely not stupid lol!! Morale of the story, don't judge a house by only the few scents you've tried :)

I bought this today at superdrug in the uk - for £23!! It was on launch offer and I’ve been wanting to smell and try it and I am actually impressed! This smells like old school summer flankers that were popular in the early 2000’s - it’s summer in a bottle, affordable, and most definitely unisex. A citrus, cool scent. Very pocket friendly and great for everyday use! So fat this is lasted well on me for 5 hours or so - I will most likely wear to the office or while sunbathing this summer! I won’t mind reapplying every 4 hours or so because it’s so cheap/affordable. 8.5/10 for me!
