La Fontana di Titti

This was a blind buy for me. I received it in the warmer months and just sniffing the bottle and a spritz to the arm it seemed a bit vanilla heavy for the summer. So I put it to the back of the collection to try later and WOW! winter weather does something incredible with this perfume! First spritz and there is this tart powdery burst. As it settles it goes into a floral stage but still bright and fresh. The notes are blended so beautifully that I, at least, can not smell the individual notes of jasmine rose and geranium but more as a grouping - a delicate bouquet. Instead of being heavy handed - the vanilla plays the role of holding the composition of musk and cedar together with warmth at the base - but not in a sweet overpowering way. It's the musk in this fragrance that made me fall head over heels in love with it. It is a fluffy delicate musk and it is gorgeous. I feel that this new perfume house really deserves more attention. So far I have 2 fragrances from DFG1924 - they are completely different from one another but both have these nuanced secrets that only reveal themselves to you upon wearing the fragrance and both are exceptional. The perfumer Roberto Dario is quite talented. My only complaint is how difficult it is to get these fragrances outside of Italy. Sillage is medium which is appropriate for this composition, close to the skin (but not quite a skin scent) after about 8 hours. Lasts for several days on scarves and fabric.
