Lilly of the valley is a very difficult note to pull off well. If it’s too strong or mixed with the wrong notes it can come off like screechy air freshener. If you don’t really like florals than I suggest steering clear of LOTV scents. I happen to love florals and I can find it too pollinated and overwhelming. But, this is Dior and this is lovely. It’s quite green and fresh, like a vase of real Lilly of the valley. My brain is conjuring up a beautiful bride like Grace Kelly marrying the Prince of Monaco in white lace holding her bouquet of LOTV. It’s very ladylike and demure. It’s really a soliflore with the other two note just taming the LOTV into being more realistic. The ylang adding a touch of smoothness and the jasmine giving the tiniest pinch of sweet bubblegum (although this is in no way like bubblegum it’s just lending some softness to the harsh LOTV). The longevity of this is outstanding. In fact it lasts longer than some Edp’s I have. It lasted 8+ hours on me. Ultimately, this is the most beautiful LOTV scent I’ve ever smelled thus far. A white bridal beauty. In my experience lilac and LOTV can smell very much the same especially in the opening. They are heavily pollinated flowers. Heavy hitter’s that smell soapy and clean. They are both employed in so many household candles, cleaning supplies, and cheap diffusers and air fresheners the world over. The difference is LOTV is sweeter and chewy in the finish when it’s done right. All those years laying my grandmother’s yard smelling it gives me that confidence. It’s also the considerable jasmine note lending that sweet substantial finish of this fragrance. Lilac is far more powdery in the texture at the end like the other purple flowers much like iris or heliotrope. Another absolutely gorgeous LOTV I’ve discovered is Fior Fiore. It almost smells fresh sweet LOTV and spearmint gum.

For me, this is the quintessential gold standard by which all other Muguet fragrances should be measured. Granted, I haven't smelled every Lily of the Valley scent on the market, but I've smelled enough to know that Diorissimo is the cream of the crop. A bouquet of spring flowers, including all their green finery, with Muguet stealing the show. I'm really surprised that lilac is not listed in the notes since that is the second most prominent floral in the mix and every bit as beautiful as the LOTV. Unlike the edp and the parfum, the edt is the most indolic and smells the most natural out of all the strengths. The same was true of the vintage edc too. This strength really smells as if you just picked a bouquet of LOTV with a few sprigs of Lilac mixed in. The scent is heady and intoxicating. Now, I have many bottles of Diorissimo, both vintage and modern, and in every strength, and can honestly say that this modern formulation is pretty much true to the original scent, except for the not-so-great performance. But I don't care because most times, I just spray this on to feel good, and it certainly does the trick with that. Though I love wearing this in the spring and summer, it really lifts my spirits in the depths of winter. This sunshine in a bottle is an instant mood lifter and anti-depressant that lifts me out of the winter doldrums better than any pill ever could. It helps me keep perspective that it's only a matter of time before spring arrives. There are very few medicines that can achieve that! Though I have a lot of perfume loves, this will always be one of my top 10 all-time favorite fragrances. That's saying quite a lot considering all the perfumes I now own. It really is a beautiful perfume.

I have moved my review from classic "Diorissimo" to particular this one that i was writing about. It has happened only lately that i learned to truly appreciate this scent and particulary in this version. Maybe it is because earlier formulations weren ́t exactly my taste but more likely becasue you need to catch a perfect moment to begin to like this treasure.... If i could compare it to anything i would compare "Diorissimo" to finest China porcelain. The best quality only. To my nose this is the fragile scent with amazingly high concentration of lilly of the valley with added lilac and jasmine flowers and bergamot. What better to wear on a hottest summer day???!!!! It quenches your thurst and keeps your senses clear when the sun is on it ́s highest high. Great staying power even for EDT. This perfume is not developing, it just stays like it is from beginning till the end and that ́s simply great in this case! Yes it is quite one-sided but this perfection really does not need to develope! I am really glad that i love it now, but also i like that it is not a common scent that a lot of people use so i get questioned a lot what am i wearing... That ́s the best compliment ever! Diorissimo should never be discontinued, sometimes we need that fragility in this rude world! For all those who are tired of those fruity-sticky-floral summer scents: you should really try this one, it is unique and refreshing at the same time!

High Points to Dior for continuing to reblend this fragrance and keeping it on the market. Muguet and lilac on classic support. It's very fresh but there's also some funk. Little Edie Beale in her overgrown garden. It's STAUNCH - you can't kill lilacs and muguet keeps coming up. It's a witches brew, because there are no lilac nor muguet absolutes available to perfumers, and also it's not sweet. It's flowery but not at all like a bouquet. Flowers on withered old growth branches and poking out of abandoned beds with a tinge of indole rot and Edie's cats. In 2020's, this could be retro punk. Throw on a mangey fur, big old sunglasses and a silk scarf and take tea in the garden. I don't know what to do with this fragrance, not least because I'm a man. I admire its frankness. It has potential as a one spritz floral add in for me. I'm surprised women find this elegant. It's chic and artistic in that, despite all the reformulations, one can imagine this directly links to Roudnitska's design. I bet it smells great on a sunny terrace mixed with the aromas of coffee and cigarettes.

I smelled Diorissimo a couple years back in Europe, and the bottle looked like the older one, so I'm not sure if it's just been rebottled or if this is a reformulation, but if it's a reformulation, I say good job! It smells just how I remembered it-the most delicious spring scent ever. I'm not usually one for pure florals, but there are a few notable exceptions, and this is one of them. I mean, I don't even really like the smell of lily of the valley, but it's amazing here and I can't get enough. It's such a joyful fragrance, it's hard to wear it and not be happy. It's not listed, but I smell a bit of musk or something creamy (maybe the ylang?) that keeps the muguet and jasmine from getting sharp and screechy, as they often can. I should also mention that this has killer lasting power on me, 12 hours+ Really shocking considering it's a modern Dior, and most of those tend to not have the best lasting power on my skin. Definitely full bottle worthy.

This parfume is so wonderful that I don't know how to describe it, I am not either able to put in words what I love, why I love it. Everyone know that this is a photorealistic LOTV.... But this is really a reductive way of describing Diorissimo. Diorissimo is the sun shining of green leaves and tiny white petals of LOTV. Diorissimo carry also the idea of the pollen over the petals... And much much more. It is one of my favourite parfume of ever. A rel masterpiece. Unfortunaty, I have a bad feeling about it. Recent IFRA restrictions make even more difficult to recreate the LOTV accord (you can estract any essential oil from LOTV), so I am wondering if this mesmerising gem is currently selling enough for Dior's starndars to invest in a major reformulation. Considering how is difficult to find in phisical stores, I fear the answer.

My aunt had a hard life. Illegitimate child, hungry after the second world war, married too soon to an alcoholic, who luckily died young leaving her with three little children. Well, she was the spunkiest lady, like ever! Growing up, I didn't know that tragic part, just that she was funny, fearless and that she drove my dad mad. She always had a kind word and a hug for everybody, gave the best presents and sweets, made everyone laugh at funerals, knew the best jokes and juiciest gossip. She has traveled the world. She was happy because she has decided to be happy. She used this fabulous german artisanal soap that smelled like lily of the valley and Diorissimo. God, I miss her... Maybe one day I will be emotionally ready to wear Diorissimo, to try to be just as fearless. What a lady...

I know it's been out for longer than I was, but I have just discovered it recently. Lily of the Valley is one of my favourite flowers and after trying so many lotv perfumes and not really liking them, I ended up testing this one in a local department store without any hope. After moving around the shelves and checking other stuff, my nose was constantly picking up what was on the blotter in my hand, ignoring everything else that I was trying to test. Soapy, fresh and understated, it the greenest white perfume I own. Spring in a bottle! The perfect companion to a white shirt on a crisp March/April day. Although not strong, it has a way of making itself present in a delicate manner, getting whiffs of it at every move, like the perfect spring breeze.

This smells like a realistic lily of the valley fragrance, in my most humble opinion! It's lovely and quite green, with a floral spring freshness and a very cool tone to it. It's definitely not a warm scent, but I quite like that in a way. I can't really smell the ylang ylang that much, like people here are talking about. I get the lily of the valley and the jasmine more. I feel that the lily of the valley is more prominent here, but that the jasmine does become more and more prominent as it dries down. There is some ylang ylang in the drydown, but it isn't prominent. This is an incredibly feminine and youthful perfume and I can imagine it smelling divine on women as young as 18 and all the way up to 80. It's that good and that universal!

I am a huge lily and lilac fan - especially lilac. I have been on the hunt for a perfume with strong lilac notes that is actually wearable. I agonised over buying Aerin Lilac Path but ultimately decided it was WAY too strong and overbearing. It was a lovely smell but I didn't want to smell of it, so it was a no for me. Diorissimo, on the other hand, is beautiful. It's strong but it's not one-note like the Aerin perfume is. I can definitely smell the lilac but it's balanced out by the other notes. I've had a sample of this beside my bed for the last week and finally took the plunge and bought it. This perfume makes me happy - and isn't that the ultimate test of a perfume? Highly recommend if you love florals.

I couldn't wait to get this out today. It seems to be an early spring day. This is perfection. It's a perfect lily of the valley. It's a perfect dewy tender flower brought out of the shade into the early morning sun. I pick them every year. Huge bouquets sit in my home. This may be even better than the real flowers. To me, this is perfume. Flowers...the original perfume for women. God created and perfumed the flowers. What can be more pretty? Lily of the valley is not my favorite flower to be sure. But this is perfect. It's royalty. I bow to the princess...

Diorissimo is the best Easter fragrance and a yearly ritual for me. It delivers the life energy of Spring, and it encompasses everything from the renewed soil to the flowers to air filled with clarity and promise. I don't find it perfectly "clean" and "fresh". I just have the one bottle and perhaps I have 20-30 more springs to enjoy, so this magic bottle with outlast me. I love that my Diorissimo will deliver the same magic to whomever owns it after I'm gone.

Another spring, another precious opportunity to wear Diorissimo at the perfect moment. Spring + Diorissimo are sure to energise anyone's day. Falls in the nectary domain, so it's not too waxy nor too indolic. But it's certainly not a sweet and cozy perfume! I've decided to nickname it The White Witch.

I can smell from the beginning to the end of pyramid scent - ylang-ylang-lily-jasmine. This is beautiful green floral scent and it's very natural also. Jasmine is dominant. I couldn't detect musk or wood. Anyone loving lily of the valley or jasmine surely love it.

I love to layer Diorissimo EDT with Yves Rocher Muguet Eau Fraiche to enhance the beautiful lily of the valley scent! While the former is sharper and more indolic, the latter is lighter and fresher which is why these two complement each other so well.

Just scored a 1 oz unopened vintage EDT...and it is GORGEOUS. My husband walked into the room after the first spray and said "that's the one!" So glad I read the recommendations on buyng vintage as opposed to the newer version.

The best interpreation of lily-of-the-valley. Delicate, fragile, icy, airy, green and proudly romantic. It does not feel like a perfume - it's almost like a green-toned watercolor encapsulated in a bottle. Breathtaking.

I imagined this reserved for spring. Well curiosity got the cat, after it caught my eye on an August night in this months long heat wave. It's very pretty after midnight, in the cooler but still summery air.

The newest addition to my collection. So spring. So lily of the valley. So strong, yet so subtle when it settles. I love it. To some, it may just smell like air freshener though, lol

I'm in love with this perfume ! It smells GREAT and it's such a nice summer/spring scent. Reminds me of fresh flower in the garden. & On me the sillage seems very good !
