Aqua Aevum

I only smelled MFK Aqua Vitae once, but I kind of loved it. I was going to hold out for the real thing. I probably should have as I am not sure if this is close enough, but this is a very nice fragrance for the money. Instead of the peppery lemon this one has more cinnamon. Lemon and cinnamon are the most obvious to me. I smell a lot of the other notes too but not as strong. I was worried the cinnamon would be overpowering, but it's not! I would describe as a spicy lemon. It is worth the cheap price imo. But if you love the MFK then you'll probably still want it. ----Now that some time has passed...the cinnamon makes the fragrance last longer than most citrus fragrances I have, however I don't think I like it anymore. I think I am going to de-clutter this bottle.

Blind buying this wasn’t a good idea, lol. But I don’t hate it — maybe I’ll use it after a shower to smell fresh, or just as a room spray. For me, the first couple of sprays smelled mostly like the orange blossom. My nose is a bit sensitive to it. The people who were with me said they could smell the citrus, but I just got a monotone blossom vibe. One thing I do like: after it settles for about an hour or so on clothes, the sandalwood starts to kick in and it smells nice — though it’s barely noticeable to other people. That’s all, really.

Got this today. I don't find this to be a fresh scent as such. The mandarin mixes well with the citrus, and makes it more citrussy sweet then citrussy fresh on my skin. The ylang ylang ads a sensual feel to the scent. But ...it is so weak. No stamina whatsoever 😔 I have reapplied 5 times now, in a matter of maybe 2 hours. It just fades so fast, and the sillage is not even worth mentioning 😒 I will see how and if it develops into something a bit stronger then what performs like a cologne at the moment, otherwise I will let it go.

Nose Note #376 Another unexpected turn-out for me. I thought it would be a lemon forward scent. But this is more of a Givenchy Organza type DNA. This is why it may remind you of a toilet air freshener - because of this specific flowery aspect. More feminine. For men - only on special occasion, for a suit and tie. For women - a daily scent, more mature than today's standards. Think 90s feminine

I will keep it only as a room spay - at the moment (after keeping it like 2 months to mature) it is a little bit better, but still I would not like to use it as perfume. For the price it performs moderately, but as personal fragrance it is still "not there" - and I am not sure if it ever will.

Right after opening, it was atrociously weak, but it improved considerable within a few days, and reached the strength that is okay for a freshie. It is fresh, clean, not screechy because it is largely floral, nothing harsh about it. For me, the orange blossom is most prominent. The whole thing sits close to the skin and is gone in about an hour.
