Jimmy

wow! this scent is TOTALLY not my thing, but it's utterly beautiful. Why is it discontinued? Makes NO SENSE at all... It's a floral citrus scent with a HEAVY dose of violet. I know the ingredients list violet LEAVES, but i'm sure it's good old violet. it's not 100% the kind of thing i would go for, let alone wear, but, it's an utter joy to sniff and i'm gonna keep my sample, and there's less than 0.5 mls of the stuff left, so, I'm gonna hopefully be able to stretch it out for a while... the citrus and rose pair up marvellously, and violet (leaves) push the scent into a non-saccharine direction, which is great, because the cold, metallic element of the violet is muted as is the acidic nature of the citrus AND the candy sweet aspect of the rose. the sandalwood acts as an anchor to this scent so that it's not all top, and all 4 elements operate effectively, almost independent of their scent-name association. i would consider wearing this, but, these types of scents just AREN'T me. this one should be in the current line-up, if you ask me...

A really beautiful fragrance. I am working my way through the fabulous sample pack. These fumes are stunning and I can see the love from the niche devotees. My feeling is the perfumer uses a beautiful grapefruit note in nearly all of them, coloured in a quite masculine way. But in Jimmy the rigid grapefruit almost gives way to a rich quite dark floral heart that is modern yet references the blockbusters from yesteryear. This citrus rings the same bell as in wonders like Diorella, keeping an aliveness and vivacity that is just gorgeous. A definite FB for me. And need I add, it is persistent, has reasonable sillage, overall superb quality. And adding to edit, it's probably deliberate irony that BF titles the most female perfume image with a boys name! Half a day later this beautiful perfume reminds me of Pampelune, but does not quite tip over into unacceptable territory...

For me,and my tastes, this is a shining star of this Group of Eight Samples. I find it far away from being carefree. Another's reviewe of "Rarely I've tested on skin such an indolic initial approach, it gave me immediately the flashback of my childhood's afternoons when I used to "whisper" to bees while running free for flowery fields and green gardens, with the fresh nature flowing down the lungs." I am then drawn, as the bee, to the Indolic of a single flower, a tickle to the nose, that sneeze of pollen,that prize of angels wings. Also relates a whisper to the sinister. Yes I agree. This is the Life and the Death. The story of the Black Widow. As Turing to the Sunflower and Pinecone, I am awed and shuddered. It speaks to the lure,indeed intoxication of the Feminine. Frighteningly potent. I am likely, because of "Jimmy" be drawn to visit Fazzolari's other work, and most surely to that thing of substance, that is Schuyler.

I was finally able to find a sample of Jimmy on eBay. I have now tried everything that Bruno Fazzolari has made. It is a really nice floral fragrance. Good longevity. Was able to smell it the next day on the shirt I sprayed it on. It definitely is more of a feminine scent. Glad to have tried it. It is better than some he has not discontinued, not sure why he stopped making Jimmy. Anyone have a sample of this or a bottle they do not want? Send me a message.

I adore this. It is full of violets, with a hint of rose, and smells of outside. Great longevity too.
