French Waltz

I have been a huge Tyler the Creator fan since 2011 and I love fragrances, so when he announced he was releasing a fragrance, I blind bought this as soon as it was released! Leading up to the release I remember the ads of this fragrance summarizing it as a summer “sunseeker” smell. I was expecting something airy, musky, fruity, clean, fresh and maybe even slightly aquatic? I believe it does have some of those nuances, but it is a little overpowered by the floral notes & I mostly get floral notes off of my own skin (which isn’t a bad thing). The box states that the smell is supposed to capture a moment where you just finished swimming in a lake and are now enveloped in a garden with the sun shining and the winds blowing the scent of the flowers. I definitely think it invokes that smell and I’m a sucker for photorealistic scents that are inspired by a moment, time, and/or place. Overall, I have owned this for nearly 3 years and I have been able to thoroughly test this out. I barely have a dent in my bottle, primarily because I have a lot of scents, but also because I don’t always gravitate towards it. I have primarily worn this for Tyler the Creator’s concerts and whenever he has a pop up event. Stuff like that makes this scent special to me because it creates memories tied to the scent. With that being said, I have grown to like this scent because I wasn’t the type of guy to wear a very floral scent like this. However, as a fragrance connoisseur, I’m not the type of person that believes fragrances are for a specific gender because I believe you should wear whatever you like and I do like “unisex” scents. I believe this is a great spring day scent and I recommend to give it a few wears before you make your judgment because I almost brushed it off. The dry down is also what makes me really enjoy the scent because the opening is a bit strong and overall this scent lasts a long time and lingers on my clothes until I wash them. 8.5/10 (probably a little biased because I’m a huge Tyler the creator fan lol)

(Review of 10ml Travel Spray) Incredible, front to back. The opening was so good that I grabbed this just off of that alone, and I was pleasantly surprised at how insanely SMOOTH this blend was throughout the whole scent experience. Out the gate, the magnolia begins radiating beautifully the second it touches your skin, supplemented by a delicate fruity sweetness from the pear and litchi. What would normally be potentially overpowering is balanced out by that tart orange. It melts into rose and white florals - I really loved the jasmine in particular, it mingles with the fruity accords beautifully and really helps the transition into the drydown. The sandalwood in this? Lusciously soft. Which sounds crazy, because its literally wood, but it's got a delicate powdery finish and fresh aspect to it. The musk is less noticeable on my skin, but it compliments that gorgeous sandalwood so well. The aforementioned floral notes remain, even hours deep into the drydown. Before the scent begins to die down for good, it gets woodier and develops a slightly stronger musk note for me. It's like being in a meadow and watching the setting sun bathe the edge of a dense forest in a luminous orange light. This makes me want more fragrances from Golf Le Fleur (especially as a fan of Tyler). This lasts a long time (easy 8 hours) and remains really fresh and stunning throughout the experience, and I was still catching strong whiffs of it later into the day as I tested it. The only gripe is the pricing - which is just okay, I'm not a fan of $150 for a 50ml especially when the 100ml is just $50 more. It's a tad steep, but the pricing does reflect the quality of the scent for me. Not for everyone - some may deem this more feminine or too floral for their liking, but for me, this is a really excellent, fresh, floral fragrance for spring/summer wear!

Just received in the mail, at first I was a little shocked because I read a lot of semi negative reviews for it. And I do get what people are saying about it being strong. And I think that’s where is more of a positive for me. The best way I can describe the smell is only going to be understandable to people of the 90’s.... It’s smells like Macy’s Fragrance department, when they use to have only top designer perfume and they would spray the bottles so generously that the moment you walked in you wanted to know what scent you were smelling, you would go down the line of Dior Mugler Chanel Versace and Estée Lauder trying to pinpoint that scent only to be confused and unsure because the truth is it was a mix of all of them..... French Waltz while intense, is a more of a love note to my 90s heart when the biggest fashion houses and makeup companies each had unique scents, there were no famous actresses/musicians churning out perfumes that smelled like drugstore variations of the high end stuff. When I wear it out I get so many compliments and people are usually genuinely surprised to find out it’s not Chanel Dior or some well established brand. If this is his first venture into making fragrances I can’t wait to smell what’s in store for our future!

This is really nice and super versatile, overall vibe is a white floral, powdery musky sandalwood fragrance. It opens up super synthetic powdery, with whitefloral in the background; Almost like a realistic oleander. The powderiness dials back a bit and citrus blooms kick in and it gets a bit soapy. This is all like in 10 is minutes, the lychee and pear notes really arent detectable. The heart is really sweet, with white florals citrus bloom is still present and little rose/muguet. The musk and sandal wood that start to creep in. The base is still kinda sweet, with the musk and sandalwood really strong with a hint of white floral and a little soapiness with rosiness. I'd give it a really highmoderate sillage and longevity. The top to the heart can fill an entire room. And the base is just maybe at arm and half length away, it gets pretty intimate. And sometimes when i get it on some clothes even after a week i can still smell the sandalwood after its been washed. On my skin it's pretty masculine but i can see why people say its feminine. I've been told i smell like a rich old lady but other than that nothing really negative. I think the "pickle brine" opening isnt worded good, its just a sharp super powdery smell. And i would call it aquatic

I got the 10ml size today. As a fragrance connoisseur and a Tyler fan, I was really excited to see what he could do with perfumery. I was not let down at all. It opens very bright, floral and fruity. The musk and sandalwood in the base are very strong and add an interesting twist to the floral top and mid notes. As the fragrance dries down, the fruitiness goes away and you’re left with beautiful florals and a woodsy musky base, which is very pleasant. The price is justified in my opinion, as the fragrance smells very high quality and the performance is great. 8+ hours on my skin with a moderate projection. For the price, you’re getting a niche quality scent with a great presentation, which can’t be said about other fragrances that are the same price if not more expensive with worse performance. This can be worn all year round for any situation, but I see it working best in the spring and summer. It is also 100% unisex. Overall, I give the fragrance a 9/10. Floral fragrances typically aren’t my thing, but this is a beautiful fragrance.
