Dark Chocolate

This fragrance is a beautifully blended. I would never, ever have expected such a complex and layered journey from a chocolate perfume. The top notes open with a refreshing burst of cardamom, grapefruit, and mandarin. The cardamom brings an aromatic depth, while the grapefruit introduces a bright freshness and the mandarin offers a lively, sweet and almost effervescent quality to the perfume. Bright, uplifting, sweet and clean. Absolutely lovely. As the fragrance develops, the middle notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, jasmine, and anise combine in the most delicious way. The dark chocolate and cocoa feel velvety, while a soft floral jasmine peeks through. The anise adds an intriguing fennel and licorice-like accord, that brings to mind a delicious sambuca. Finally, the base notes settle into a warm, powdery amber, slightly sweet labdanum and vanilla as well as a sensual musk. The vanilla lends a soft sweetness that blends seamlessly with the musk, creating a dry down that is both powdery and skinlike. The result is a fragrance that is wonderfully layered—starting bright and zesty, evolving into a rich, chocolatey heart, and finishing with a warm, powdery musk. Despite its chocolatey heart, the scent remains clean and bright throughout, lingering sensually on the skin.

I was not expecting a fragrance this complex. I got it because.....duh.....I’m a chocoholic. I figured this would make a great layering fragrance. I have Choco Musk, and use that for layering. But I figured a dark chocolate scent would be even nicer. This is one of those rare fragrances that you can actually detect all of the individual notes without them clashing. The grapefruit and cardamom play together so richly against the chocolately cocoa notes with a beautiful kick of spiciness. And the musky vanilla ties it all together. I really do think this would be wearable all year long, and that it’s going to have different personalities depending on the season. And I know it’s going to layer very nicely with some of my other gourmand perfumes. If you like gourmand scents, and if you like chocolate, this is going to be a very safe blind buy. It’s perfectly unisex in my opinion. So get it, and have fun!

This perfume is stunning, sublime and sexy. The most delicious, decadent scent I ever have in my collection. I love the bright opening of sweet cardamon. It is well blended and smells uber pricey. I'm blown away 🌪🤤🥰

A big positive surprise, I kept skipping every chance to meet him because the name didn't promise me anything, but today I got a sample and I was delighted. There is chocolate, but nothing unpleasant for the perfume, the mandarin also comes through, and I don't smell anything specific, but the combination that raised this perfume so much that if you didn't know what it was made of, you would enjoy every breath. This year I discovered a lot of perfumes from Gulf Orchid and I thank them because they really made me happy.

I smelled this without knowing the perfume name and i would've thought this is a woody amber fragrance. however when you do know the name it becomes clear =) you cant really go wrong with chocolate and orange! and a powerful jasmine vanilla mix.
