Dark Suede

"Dark Suede" by Hawthorne is a fragrance that didn't make the best first impression with me, but quickly grew on me to become one of my favorites from the brand as I've worn it out and about. It's really nice to catch whiffs of. I get the mandarin, I get the ginger, it all comes together really nicely. Took me a little while to wrap my nose around the whiskey or bourbon accord. My idea of a bourbon accord previously had been from Cremo scents like "Bourbon and Oak" or "Distiller's Blend". The whiskey accord here is much more refined. It's sort of similar to "Distiller's Blend", but still smoother and warmer in a way. Overall the scent performs really well, it's strong, and likes to stick to your shirt or jacket. Definitely a cooler weather favorite of mine. Also worth mentioning is that it's a favorite of my wife's. She never fails to say "You smell nice" when I wear it. It's the kind of scent I save for special occasions because of that. Every woman is different, but at least with my wife she loves it.

This is my favorite fragrance. The best way I can describe it is like a rich, sophisticated cowboy. Every note shines in this, the whiskey & fig make an amazing combination. Decent sillage but it maybe lasts 3 hours on me before fading into a skin scent. If I could find a premium version of this I wouldn’t mind paying the extra money. I’m getting low on my second bottle & I’ll be buying a third

This smells a little like Boss Bottled Elixir with a sweet fig note. This is stupid good. It's performance beast and a sillage monster. Lasted over 8 hours on me and multiple days on a tester strip. I don't know how they're selling something this good for so cheap. This notes are what you smell. If you want people to smell you before they see you, then this is it. This was worth every penny.

Great performance on my skin. I'm in colorado so not sure if the dry climate effects that. Opens with cashmere wood and fig and drys down to that whiskey accord and wood notes. I had it last over 8 hrs and still had complements after. I did about 5 sprays one was on the shirt. Definitely recommend for fall/winter

This is actually incredible. What a deep, dark and mysterious fragrance. A boozy and spicy suede. Perfect for wearing with a leather jacket on a night out. Performance is very good too and at $60 for a 50ml this is a hard fragrance to hate. Definitely the best from the brand.

Blind bought from a Facebook ad and do not regret. I was on a blind buy/decant losing streak for a while but this right here is gorgeous. The description is spot on Will update with performance and sillage later

Regretted wearing this one blind. The first minutes are okay but the once the leather dies off (quickly) it turns into something cheap and juvenile like something for pre tesn girls. Whatever booze note they are using is trash. If you want a quality liquor scent that you won't be embarrassed to wear, stick with Kilian.
