Rocky Man Irridium

After my first wearing I am really impressed with this EdT and it is already a like/love. I sprayed it on last night after my shower and I was surprised at how many times I kept smelling my wrist before and in bed. At first I thought the performance was lacking, but I realized I had smelled my wrist so much last night my nose got used to it, but this morning it is still a pretty strong skin scent. Unfortunately Rocky Man Black and Irridium both suffer from terrible bottle design, terrible packaging and price ($9.99 at Gordmans), but with a better name, packaging and a nicer bottle I could easily see it getting $40+.

It is surprisingly similar and probably based on Gucci Guilty pour homme EDT (2011) and it's Love edition (2021). This apparently came out the year after, in 2012. This costed me only 6€ online so I got 2 bottles to give away. For me it works well as a gift or if you're on a budget and don't mind the lesser performance (spray more) and some missing nuances. A good product from an always affordable and underrated house.

For any Canadian collectors... Rexall Pharmacy is selling these for next to nothing. I picked this bottle up for $9.99 today Aug 2022. From what I sprayed and for how long I had the bottle, it was decent enough for a cheapie. The moment I got home I accidentally dropped the bottle on my kitchen floor and the bottle legit shattered everywhere. To me this scent smells pretty cheap in the opening, almost metallic smelling. It gives the impression that it won’t last, but surprisingly, it lasted me for 3-4 hours. I had to go through my collection because it was bugging me that I’ve smelled something similar to this, and I’m sure I still own it. I’d say after 10 minutes of searching through my collection, it was here I realized that this shares some similarities with Dunhill Desire Silver. It’s not a carbon copy, but a good nose will see the similarities. Regardless.. the general rule of thumb is, if it lasts 3-4 hours, projects decently enough, and you get the odd compliment for only $10 bucks, then you need to not complain about any cheapness, maybe drink some shut up juice, and be happy with what you got for the money. I’ve seen commercial colognes not preform and shit the bed for ten to fifteen times the money. So I’ll take back my cheap comment in the beginning of my review. Sea notes with an amber dry down?! It’s a no brainer buy, and an excellent scent for a beginner collector, if you can still find it for cheap. It does look like a dollar store bottle and box, but don’t let that shit fool you, this stuff bangs.

Greetings, I have read the comments and decided to comment on this fragrance as I tried it a while back in a local cosmetics shop. Frankly speaking I don't see the "greatness" other speak of, as for me personally it is a harsh, somewhat chemical concoction of synthetic citruses and aldehydes. However it is also possible that I don't value this budget fragrance due to the fact that I don't like Gucci Guilty for men, which is the "papa" of this fragrance. I don't understand how and why people admire it, as it is so forgettable and generic. Perhaps these days such things are described as "true versatility". It is not the worst thing I have smelled in my life, and I was not repulsed by it, however the reason lies in the originals it tries to imitate. Not my cup of tea, however Gucci Guilty for men Fans and Invictus fans might see it as a "small miracle of sorts" given a low price tag. Metallic.
