White Musk

REVIEW Ok. This going to be a little long, but needed. I think many people have not given this fragrance just do. It is a fragrance that gives more quality than the price really represents. First, it is an explosion of lavender, mint, and Thyme. The thyme and mint gives it a minty cool tone and the lavender gives it a smooth soapy feel. The fruits & citrus depth. 2 layers 1) cool 2) cool and floral (citrus & melon in the background). Longevity -3/4 hr Sillage- 1st hr over an arms length, & last 2 hrs or so 2 feet sillage ON ME. Add an 1/2 hrs, if you spray your clothes. Not cloying, unless you spray ridiculously. 9/10 for price, compliments,and uniqueness alone REASONS FOR HIGH SCORE It is what Cartier Roadster could be, if it were this much of a classic. The Jovan name being precieved as dated & cheap is the only reason this is not more beloved. If it were in a different bottle & a more acceptable name with at least a $30 RETAIL price tag, it would be raved about. I don't understand the popularity of Roadster (which is not a bad scent!) and not mentioning this minty, citrus, floral, unisex pleasing classic. However, the fragrance is reminiscent of chewing gum after the sweetness has disappeared, and a unisex vibe that really complements a man just as much as it can compliment a woman. Just--FRESH anytime for any place or occasion. A dumb reach. The bottle looks cheap, the top looks cheap, the box looks cheap, but the fragrance is all class. Lol hehehehehe I would venture to say that this is one of the most unique smelling fragrances I ever put my nose on, and I have had hundreds!!!! Lol. For a man, I must say that we need not to wonder if women will like the smell. All we have to do is just look at the comments below and women are chiming in saying it is a wonderful scent. What a beautiful smell this is and has become one of personal favorite comfort scents !! Jovan musk opens up nice but admittedly a tad bit synthetic as it’s fresh,semi sweet, but with a harsh hair spray type of note (not horrible but only in the opening it reflects its price point) However once this starts to open up (about 5 minutes) it really develops beautifully as you get a very breezy,fresh,smooth scent that’s very reminiscent of fresh laundry next to a river type of vibe !!! Very fresh,clean,breezy but with that musk in the background giving it some depth and appeal. In all honesty it smells like a very nice apple shampoo!!! White musk doesn’t develop a whole lot but as it dries down it gets less airy and more musky,rich and smooth !!! The more it dries down the more expensive it smells Performance on me is excellent as it projects pretty strongly for an hour,moderately until the 1 hour 30 minute mark and then for the duration of the scent leaves a very nice scent bubble and sillage. Surprisingly it lasts me 8-12 hours and lasts forever on clothes !!! In terms of compliments it also does very well (especially when someone comes close) Overall rating -8.25 out of 10 !! Very unique scent that’s perfectly unisex and great for everyday use and for all seasons. That’s also cheap and long lasting( A perfect scent for casual outings where you want to smell nice but not overwhelming)

Yes, yes, yes! Jovan White Musk cologne spray for men is unisex. I love so many Jovan fragrances for women, I've gone over to the men's side of the line to see if any of those will also work with my chemistry and tastes. It is an affordable adventure. I always get sucked in by musks and gourmands. So I was surprised how much I adore this. Geranium, thyme, and mint? Oh, my! That is normally not my thing at all. There is something very L'Artisan about this fragrance. Maybe it's the clove. Which sample did I smell years ago that I am recalling now as I smell JWM for men? This cologne spray is fresh, sweet, spicy, herbaceous, soft, with delicious melon in the center. A very nice departure from my usual decandent smoky, amber, vanilla, balsamic, tobacco, leather, cocoa, woody tastes. I am a little curious about why and how Jovan fragrances are so good. It makes me want to research who the "noses" are behind these creations. I found articles about founders Mitchell and Shipp and the company being bought and sold time and again since its launch in 1968 with cutting edge unisex musk oil packaged in a daring orange box. Hmmm... They did something right.

White Musk Jovan for men I purchased this from a discounter based on the recommendation from a Youtube reviewer. I believe I paid less than $10 US for a 3 ounce bottle. First, no one is going to mistake this for Tom Ford. Second, longevity is not great. Third, sillage is not that great either. However, this fragrance smells far more expensive than it actually is. It's a refined musk with apple and melon. I love the smell. Despite it's poor longevity - or due to poor price - you can apply it as often as you need to, and not worry about usage. Everyday joes like me rarely can justify the price of a Tom Ford. Not knocking Tom. He makes good stuff. But when $$ is an issue, there are alternatives. Highest recommendation.

Oh Jovan,you are and were always likable with your special scent,what a pity that now there are so few choices to buy!!But the rest of it is good?Today is the turn of the White musk,a more recent version of the scent that made this house famous(indeed) internetionally,this scent is lovely,it is sweet but spicy and at the end,well behaved.The musk in it is softer and the blend of fruits give it a better outcome then the generic white musk we find usually in stores.Women love this scent,there is no time freeze for this elegant musk,and a charming scent must be close,and infact it project very little,but last for a good 4 hours.

started off with sex appeal, the jovan musk and now white musk, i think this house is so under rated, and most of their stuff we find here in bangladesh are very pleasant, im looking to buy the black musk, the amber and oud ones, they last only 2 hours tops but smell wise beautiful, perfect for indoors... I'm enjoying White Musk and others in the Jovan Musk line up. White Musk is my pick. It lasts and is a happy,summery, comforting scent. Soapy clean and floral. It's got that obvious white t-shirt feel like Lacoste White and Lalique White although these are quite different notewise. Recently I've seen a "Platinum" flanker for sale. Has anyone got any information about it? What does it remind you of?

I love this. It is never the wrong time to wear this. It is clean. Fresh. Open. Inviting. Nice. Warm. Cool. I wear it to work. I wear it on the couch in a t-shirt. I wear it bouncing around town paying the bills or just driving around. I spray our pillows with it before bed and we love that too. It is cheap and easy to enjoy. It just smells good and I highly recommend it.

like its older brother, white Musk falls under the category of "they don't make them like this any more!!" beautiful, calm, clean, elegant, relaxing (to both u and people around u) this not necessary a summer scent IMO, but it is very versatile between spring and fall. I can't see it working its magic in winter.. definitely worth more than the price...

A lady that i met smelled so good that i had to ask her what she was wearing, she told me Jovan white musk for woman. I searched it up on the internet, so i saw that there also was a mens version. I orderd the mens version and oh my it also smells delicious. i made it my Signature scent now, i can smell it the whole day.

There is people here complaining about longevity?? Really? Is a $9 Cologne! Coloooooogne!!!!! Is not a eau de toilette, is not a eau de Parfume! Is a Dam Cologne!! This is a real underrated gem! I own over 300 fragrances in my colection and this one is in my top 10! My wife absolutely loved too!

Over the years this fragrance has become one of my most cherished fragrances. This is the one fragrance I low key freak out if I'm running low :) So comforting, understated and calming, clean gentle scent. All year around after shower before bed.

The scent reminds me of the balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in the spring or autumn. Fresh. I would prefer more spice. Cloves is listed but it never comes to front on my skin. I would enjoy the cloves to be more noticeable.

I have always known Jovan musk but not this one. I got a half ounce bottle and boy was I surprised. I love this. To me it smells like a creamsicle that i used to have as a kid.

Very unique fragrance. Definitely something I would wear for church or social gatherings. Lasts a good 6 hours on my skin with decent projection for the first 2 hours

Tried alot of fragrances but i always come back to Jovan white musk. This is always fresh/spicy/sweet and not cloying.

i think its the best fragrance for the summer musky + fresh + soapy thats what i want in the hot summer

There are some strange days where everything smells like this. Not common though.

A very well-made scent from Jovan that is more of a refreshing, vibrant and lightly sweet musk than the brand's other offerings. I have a classic 4oz splash bottle of Vintage in the original box. I picked it up along with a number of bottles that were in my father's collection (in the cabinet next to the mirror) - vivid memories and scents from my youth...all Vintage musk scents that I wanted to revisit after over two decades. I am glad I did - this is one he never had, but I was very intrigued when I heard about it, but a little worried it may be too sweet. It isn't - this is very fresh and unique! It is definitely masculine - my wife adores it on me and it is very well-composed. What I like about it is how the freshness of the citrus and mint stay on top of the "juicy" melon note. The clove is underneath, giving a nice spicy and slightly 'earthy' nuance. It is just sharp enough without being intrusive in the blend. This is done well. Geranium and Thyme are used proportionately here - offering both a nice floral touch (I think one of the most important notes bringing this together is the geranium - key note in the heart) along with the delicate greenness from the thyme. There is a "peach"-accord that some people get out of this. I think it is more of a perception of the color and scent's light sweetness. Personally, I get more of a fresh mint blended with melon and nice florals to create a fresh, yet slightly fruity vibe that is airy and lifted. I don't find that it smells like peach (and I know a true peach note well in fragrance from my wife's collection). The drydown does have that nice apple note, but it is well-integrated and crisp. Overall, a very nice scent that smells significantly different from any other Jovan offering and is wonderful to splash on during warmer days - summer, as well as spring and fall (in California). I really like this old bottle and am happy I picked it up, but there is no comparison at all to the composition of Le Male. Understanding what this even is - one cannot mistake it or say one is better. They are unique. There is no vanilla at all in this scent and it wears as a splash cologne should - light and airy...it has very nice aromatics that are not cloying or offensive. Moderate projection and about 4 hours of longevity. Very nice. Very well done - I recommend it.

I actually love the scent of white musk. white musk in general. This one is really nice. a nice white musk - powdery spicy laundry clean musk, then I definitely get green apples, a little bit of melon underneath, a touch of mint early on. There is a sweet tangy greenness later on combined with the apple scent. I am not really a fan of apple scents, and it is strong in this one, but at the same time it's not overly strong. I think there is some mint along with it which I like. I love the clean soapyness spicyness of white musk, and this one is pretty good. It is a softer sort of scent which lasts but is not as strong as the original. The women's version is also very good - more floral. this one has the green apple scent in it. anyways it's nice, and the white musk part is the best. It's pretty strong, but not overpowering - actually like it says on the box. Very clean soapy musk spicy scent without any of the raunch or animalic qualities of the original musk. but I like that one too. I like that one more. I wanted to try this one, it's much more a cleaner fruitier scent. Yeah I like the scent of white musk.

I sprayed it on my hand 1 hour ago and i came to read the top notes because i was sure that i'm not be the only that gets a JPG Le Male vibe, a sweet but not cloying scent, very subtle yet noticeable, definetly worth to buy this. Rocié esto en mi mano hace 1 hora y vine a leer las notas principales porque estaba seguro de que no sería el único que siente un parecido a JPG Le Male, un olor dulce pero no empalagoso, muy sutil, pero perceptible, definitivamente vale la pena probar y comprar esto! Update: no quiero decir que es igual a Le Male, sino más bien algo que puede ser considerado como algo más soportable y menos denso que Le Male dentro de la linea de aromas sutiles, dulces y al mismo tiempo frescos y no empalagosos, además por el precio es una joya :) Does not mean it's like Le Male , but rather something that can be considered as more bearable and less dense than Le Male within the line of subtle, sweet and quite "fresh" at same time, not cloying smell, and for the price is a jewel :)

It is lite, fresh and creamy. It has a nice old fashioned soap cleanness. If you ever smelled the old shaving cream soap bars that gave barber shops their unique smell - this fragrance has it. It reminds me of the days when I used to get my neck shaved with a straight razor after a haircut. Wrestling aside all the baggage of my memory there is a nice enough melon & apple although I only get the citrus & mint for a minute or two after spraying. The musk is the star of the show. Plays a major role throughout the medium life of the scent. It's a light musk of the gently dry, powdery & airy type - that mixed with the cloves & apple to create a refreshing and unique creaminess. If you spray this on your clothes you will smell some floral notes midway into it - but if you spray it on your skin it will have more of a creamy musk smell. DO NOT mistake this for Jovan Musk ... they are different fragrances.

I'm reviewing a new version edc. This is a really nice, fresh white musk with strong apple notes, a lttle bit of citrus, herbs and floral notes. To my nose it is more sour than sweet. I love the mint smell in the opening. That note doesn't last long though. The white musk in the base is light, but the note is very noticeable at all times. This must be one of the best budget fragrances out there and this scent has grown into being a favorite of mine, even if I usually dislike apple scents. I wouldn't be using this in the wintertime but it's a perfect summer scent. Longevity is quite good on my skin, 6-10 hrs! 24 hrs+ on clothes.

I forgot how good this really is! Nothing fancy, a smooth, soft, clean, snuggly, happy comforting scent. Cheapies have a way of sneaking up on me, they start by being nice and after a while end up being annoying and getting on my nerves. But not this one! This keeps making me smile throughout its entire lifetime. And after a few hours I am surprised to find myself sniffing for it, a bit sad that it's gone from my skin and happy to find it still lingering on my clothes. They say the simple things in life turn out to be the best - Jovan must have made this one just to prove it. And they couldn't have done it better!

A clean scent. Doesn't smell like anything else I've tried before, doesn't smell like a cologne at all as a matter of fact. It does have a bit of laundry clean quality and is smooth and almost creamy smelling to me. I don't detect any fruitiness or the apple note. My wife only likes clean/fresh, lighter scents and went nuts over this. She couldn't stop telling me how good I smelled and remarked that I just smelled clean and not like I was wearing a cologne. She was shocked when I told her it was a Jovan scent. Longevity on me is very good, projection is on the lighter side but noticeable throughout the day.

Fantastic fragrance to start your day with, end your day with and everything in between. This might be one of the most inviting fragrance I have, it doesn't announce itself but waits to be discovered by a passerby or someone standing next to you. Longevity on my skin using 4-5 sprays is around 3-4hrs with a wonderful little scent bubble around me the entire time. I would recommend decanting some to carry with you so you can re-fresh throughout the day. White Musk has easily become my favorite offering from Jovan and an excellent fragrance for both men and women. Check it out!!

To me it smells fruity & creamy. You can tell is an old DNA but does not mean you have to be over 50 to wear it. This can be definitely be worn at any age. I would wear this only in warm(not hot), cosy sprint and summer days. I paid $13 for it and it definitely does not smell this cheap. If one of the big houses would do something similar , called it unisex (because it can be) they would sell if for $50-$60 easy. It punches way above it's asking price. It's a good, no special occasion, sprint-summer fragrance.

This smells nice. It's fresh with some muskiness. It also has a beautiful aromatic quality. It just doesn't last long and there is hardly any sillage. I overspray but I don't mind because it is dog cheap. There is a sweetness that comes out after a few minutes. I honestly don't get "masculine" vibes from this. It's more unisex. A woman can wear this too. It's not your typical powdery white musk that you usually find with white musk fragrances. There is no powder or cotton smell. But it is really nice.

It has a soapy freshness but not overwhelming at all. I like this one for having nostalgic factor in it. You'll find some sort of creaminess to it ,to the end. have to heavy spray to make it last whole day. It's ok as long as it's damn cheap. I can relate all the reviews of it, all about coziness. Don't know about the sillage, but it creates a scent bubble around you, which will keep you comfy. Every season goes with it, just make sure it's a windy day.

First spray and I decide not to give this little gem to my boyfriend lol. Definitely unisex and when I wear it I got a lot of compliments. The scent is clean and fresh, very good for summer. Also I think I can wear it all year round day or night. I sprayed 10 sprays in the morning it last around 3-4 hours. And the price is very cheap compared to other brands. I bought this from Antz and Tulipe shop in Japan for 2 bottles cost only 1980 Yen.

Reading from the description, one would think that this is an aquatic. There's nothing sea-like with this fragrance. It's powdery, sweet and has that cola-like note...to my nose at least! Pleasant enough for casual, daily wear and when running errands. Nothing more, nothing less. Longevity is subpar but that is okay considering the price and what would you have expected in the first place?

Clean laundry scent. Powdery white musk with sweet fruits, mint and cloves. Understated yet recognized—been compliment more than expected with this cheapie. May be a little cloying for hot days. I actually like this in the winter more than in the summer. Nothing really masculine here but it doesn’t have the florals to push it into feminine territory. Just a clean, safe, unisex fragrance.

This is really nice, actually. A lovely, light, daytime frag that wouldn't offend anyone. Very charming for occasions when you'd like to appear as if you're a nice person. Dries down (after the cliche fruity/aqua top subsides) into a low-sillage, cedar-herby frag with a silky base- a quiet, solemn day, sitting near waves. I sometimes like to wear this while reading.

I actually only bought this for the free delivery for another article but this fragrance surprised me quite a bit. I think it's a perfect stay at home/ hotel resort fragrance. Musky and creamy. It smells very clean and is very surprisingly long lasting for an eau de cologne (6+ hours). However I personally wouldn't wear this outside or to social events.

Very pleasant, peaceful scent. Green, citrusy crisp opening. Reminds me garden on early autumn. Apple note smells wonderful. Later powdery musk starts dominate, dry cloves gives more masculine and woody feel. Versatile, everyone can wear it. Longevity 4 hours + few more hours of skin scent musk on me.

A warm, fresh and inviting fragrance with a mild creaminess coupled with fruity undertones. I usually don't gravitate towards fragrances like this, but this is well done. A nice casual scent that will not offend and will give you a feeling of cleanliness and heighten your sensual adventures.

I've taken to wearing this before bed. It's pleasantly soapy and clean-smelling, light, and overall just a very nice and relaxing mild scent. Like the rest of the Jovan line, it's not a "beast mode" frag but it's supremely affordable and you can wear it pretty much anywhere, anytime.

Amazing laundry detergent enhancer for people who don't nececearly like fragrances. Its extremely non distinctive or projecting for that matter, to the extent you can apply 30 sprays and people barely notice you have anything on. And I still really really like it.

Musky, floral, fresh. Sweetish melon and some green herbs. Ok sillage and longevity for a cologne (if the word indicates concentration, I don't know). This is a pleasant and happy fragrance mainly for spring and summer, quite good especially for the price.

First day i sprayed it it smelled super feminin and like a disgust soap smell i thought i would never try it again but next day i tried it again and it was wayy better still bit feminin but the soapyness is almost gone 6.5/10

a good for everyday using one, smooth and not pretentious at all but with enough appeal and not similar to anyother, anyway I dont think this is that long lasting, not in my skin at least...

I actually find this stuff delightful! It's like Versace The Dreamer, but with more sweetness and, obviously, musk. Longevity could be better, but it beats the longevity of Jovan Black Musk

Fresh, simple, and nice. Light yet persistent musk, highlighted by crisp green apple and sweet mint. This works best in warmer weather, it's a bit too astringently clean in cooler months.

I like to share an intresting fact about this fragrance. This is a very excellent aphrodisiac. If you don't believe try it. The result will be surely amazing. ⚓️

This is just a shell of what it used to be. The green apple is way out there. It’s a clean safe summer cologne but it’s really weak.

This is a nice, fresh sunny day scent. It's has light golden apple / hesperidic qualities that are great for a casual afternoon.
