La Fede Brown Choco

Holy. crap. 🤩 I literally put this on my arm and started smiling ear to ear. This is literally the ferrero rocher cream filling warmed up. It's so rich and decadent, I'm obsessed. Dear god this is perfect. Khadlaj continues to pleasantly surprise me. I'm not quite getting the cigar/tobacco comments. I don't enjoy tobacco notes at all and in the drydown this gets a bit less sweet than in the opening (after about 20 mins), the cacao starts shining through and the lovely scent of roasted nuts. If you've ever made a chocolate cake with roasted nuts, the smell is very similar to when you mix the roasted nuts with the chocolate and cacao. For me, the drydown is absolutely lovely, it still has that ferrero cream note, a bit of less sweetness and a really rich, deep roasted hazelnut scent. The pistachio is more of blended with the rest, it doesn't stand out unless you look for it. This has really good sillage. I sprayed it 3 times on my arms and the entire room was filled with the fragrance. Longevity was also good on my skin which I was worried about since gourmands can sometimes be really short in longevity, however this lasted daysss on my clothing and the entire afternoon on my skin. I washed it off in the evening but I'll be testing in the morning and see how it does. This is an absolute win for this gourmand girl, and for this price, the sillage, longevity and the scent are insane. This smells like a niche perfume. I cannot recommend this enough. Edit: I've been wearing this non stop so I just want to give some additional feedback. This pairs really well with any lactonic, creamy mists, perfumes or lotions you might have. I've been using it with Dermacol's Truffle Body lotion and I feel like they were made for each other. It also pairs well with caramel forward frags. Now that's it's sat for a while in my closet (3 weeks), the drydown is sweeter and more chocolatey than it was. I would say it's in the Chocolate Greedy adjacent family (NO NOT A DUPE, just a similar, cousin type scent) On another note, if you're not a fan of realistic nutty fragrances, don't get it. I love nutty forward scents so this is a win for me but if you don't like a prominent nutty note, this won't be for you. It's really hazelnut forward in the drydown. And the longevity really is good, I can smell this on myself throughout the day. Sprayed this after a shower, in my bathroom and my friend visited hours later and asked me what that scent was.

Giving my first impressions; This fragrance by far exceeded my expectations. This is for true chocolate & hazelnut lovers. It's not really super sweet imo, just intensely deep & rich. It comes across like a bitter dark chocolate bar with dry roasted nuts(nuts, hazelnuts & pistachio as listed on box). Sprinkled with a slight dusting of cocoa powder. I only sprayed once on hand but so far very potent with excellent performance. This fragrance really surprised me, in a very good way. Super happy with it already but I'm sure it will get even better with time. Fair warning; as stated above, this is a bitter deep dark chocolate. It's not your standard crowd pleasing sweet chocolate. I think people who enjoy woody, smokey &/or darker aesthetic scents are best suited to this fragrance. Others will pick up all kinds of odd olfactory associations if not familiar with the smell of true dark chocolate. On an aside, Fragrantica left out two of the top notes. Notes listed exactly as stated on the perfume box... Top Notes: Nut, Cocoa, Hazelnut Heart Notes: Pistachio, Chocolate, Milk Base Notes: Chocolate, Vanilla, Caramel Edited to add: I'm not sure where people are getting a cigarette smell from. If I smelt that in this scent I'd hate it. Not a smoker & not a fan of the smell. Thank goodness I don't get anything remotely like that. #2 Edited to add: This will probably be my final update/review because this has not changed much scent-wise....maybe it's more well blended. But regardless, it was outstanding from the get go. The performance did improve though. The longevity & projection was pretty decent at first spray. I will say when I gave it a proper wear for the first time it didn't quite live up to the hand sample I did previously. Thankfully, I recently wore it again after it sitting for 2 months and it's improved a lot. Before I would have rated the performance at a lower 7 (which is still good) but now I'd give it a solid 9. It wore very nicely all day. ;) It's the perfect chocolate scent imo. Super happy to have it in my collection. Performance rating: 9/10 Scent rating: 10/10 Overall rating: 9.5/10

Stunning! Wow, this is smelling like a snack! I get popcorn flavoured with Ferrero Rocher chocolates straight up. Dont even think popcorns listed but that what i get. Eventually for me it gets more into the Ferrero flavoured hot mocha coffee still with a touch of buttery popcorn. Its more a dark chocolate scent and not too sweet. Love that. Its powerful too, lasting on my clothes FOREVER. Have to be in the mood to wear this though and a light hand would be recommended to not choke other out around you. Mine arrived with a production date of 4/25 so it's already around 6 months matured so I'll see how this goes over the next few months. Spring/ summer here in Australia so probably won't be used until winter next year. Still, will be looking forward to that ❤️

I love this. Its a bitter smoky dark chocolate with at the same time sweet hazelnut and milk/cream. I am so happy that this gourmand isn't so overly sweet. It is sweet yes, but not to the point it gets nauseating. I love the bitterness and smokiness in it. I love how my nose cant seem to make up it's mind about ; it switches from hey now it is more sweet creamy nutella like, to mmm or is it smoky very dark bitter chocolate or cocao powder. I love that contrast in this. I smell no cigarettes or ash whatsoever. Maybe its a skin chemistry thing...Blown away, i absolutely love this. 9,5/10.

I LOVE THIS! I blind bought it and until it arrived I read a bunch of terrible reviews. That it smells like earth, like cigars like idk what. For me, when it’s firstly sprayed it smells like a huge mountain of hazelnuts and then it settles down and it smells like aromatic hazelnut chocolate filled wafer rolls. It’s incredibly sweet and I literally smell edible. It’s also extremely long lasting. I’m sorry if others pick weird notes, every skin reacts differently to perfumes and amplifies different facets but on me this is amazing!

Hazelnut chocolate! I can’t believe there’s a perfume that smells like this. Ferrero Rocher. You actually experience the chocolate scent first, and the hazelnut emerges as a middle note, almost like you are biting into a chocolate. Beautiful! I love any nut scent so the hazelnut vanilla drydown is great for me.

I think this is the best of my chocolate gourmands. It’s fantastic! But I don’t understand why Fragrantica does not list White Forest Strawberry that was launched together with this one. It’s an amazing white chocolate/strawberry/ almond gourmand. The bottle is exactly the same as this one but white 😍😍

Pure chocolate with a pistachio slant, looks like a food flavor because it makes me want to eat chocolate too much! But I like it! I think using it as a layering with other fragrances could give it the best!!! For example with Nebras.. 😍 But using it alone around the house is also very very cozy!

Are you addicted to Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy like I am? Then this scent is for you...edible, sweet, creamy, addicting. Hazelnut is not listed but it's definitely there. Long lasting. You will be considered edible and delicious when wearing this. Love.

Stunning! This is my favourite chocolate perfume it is so yummy and alluring. It needs maceration so keep it for a month before you judge it. Extremely strong and long lasting. Really smooth. Beautiful, unisex sweet smoky hazelnut chocolate fragrance.

This is such a beautiful silky chocolate perfume. In fact, it reminded me of a dark chocolate hazelnut wafer. In my opinion, this smells quite elegant. It's like wearing chocolate in a natural casual way - yet it smells decadent! Beautiful!

i bought this scent yesterday. it's nice. all the reviews ranted and raved about a strong chocolate, sweet, nutella-ferrero-rocher-esque smell. so, i don't smell that. i'm on the hunt for a strong chocolate perfume that don't hurt the pockets, and this is a very good fragrance! just not very chocolate forward as all the people insisted. now, what i do get from it is hazelnut coffee creamer, the hazelnut coffee creamer my sister liked growing up. it's very nutty, milky, and warm and can *almost* trick you into smelling chocolate before the dry down, with all the vanilla/caramel and whatnot. i dont know why but, it kinda turns into a pure nut scent after it dries down, spicier, more grown-up. despite my thoughts on the notes not being what i expected, it goes well with my current scent combo. i layer it with choco musk, and vanilla latte by scentual fragrances. i think it brings out the milky, creamer-like aspect of brown choco, since vanilla latte is a little sharp, and adds a nice sweetness with the marshmallow of choco musk. maybe after it macerates i'll get more chocolate like i hoped, but TLDR: overall it's a beautiful, well balanced, deep spicy vanilla-y hazelnut scent, just not particularly what i was looking for.

On Youtube, Maria Collett RAVED about Khadlaj "La Fede Brown Choco." I like Maria Collett a lot. Her fragrance preferences don't always resonate with me, perhaps 65% of the time. With insomnia most nights, certain fragrances help me sleep. I thought Brown Choco might be a good nighttime fragrance. I purchased a full bottle x 100ml for under $20.00 USD. To quote my husband, "It's not too complicated, not too sophisticated," Certainly it's not. Brown Choco is all burnt hazelnuts, some pistachio with an underpinning of dark chocolate. The fragrance is dry, dusty and arid, not lactonic or creamy. The chocolate notes emerge more in the dry-down. But throughout the fragrance's journey, nuttiness reigns supreme. More of a novelty scent than a wearable fragrance. Becomes fatiguing over time.

Edit: now that it has macerated for a couple months the chocolate has started to emerge more. It has gotten sweeter and I agree it smells more like Ferrero Rocher chocolate now. I’m glad because I almost gave it to a friend. Not that it was bad at first, it just wasn’t something I could see myself wearing. However since it’s macerated I’ve changed my mind :) you can still smell the hazelnut but it’s not overpowering like it was before. Smells like caramel hazelnut. Fragantica doesn’t have hazelnut listed, but it is printed on the box. The most noticeable note is hazelnut all throughout. Not as chocolatey as one would expect from the notes

This is dry dark chocolate shavings with lots of hazelnuts. The hazelnuts are roasted in their shell, so there’s this dry scratchy hazelnut shell scent that never leaves the dry, dark, slightly bitter chocolate. It’s such a dry scent that I think it needs to be mixed with something. I sprayed Molten Caramel by Paris Corner over it and the milky caramel and extra sweetness really lift this fragrance. Makes me smell like a chocolate, caramel, hazelnut snack. I can see why the reviews can be negative - this fragrance needs something else to make it shine. On its own it’s too dry and the roasted hazelnut skins really stand out too much.

How is that possible that 'hazlenut' note is not here?! This whole composition screams hazlenuts! Tons and tons of hazelnuts covered with a thin cacao layer. That's about it! Gourmand? Ohh yeah baby! All you can eat! Sweet?? most deffinitely, just out of the oven. But Ferraro Roche chocolate or Oreo?! Nope! Don't see that at all here. Just god damn hazelnuts!!

In the first 5-10 minutes I can feel hazelnut and cocoa combo (nutella, ferrero rocher), but it transforms quickly into a less sweet drier ash-smoky hazelnut cream scent. I think the top is more feminine, the drydown is unisex, nothing masculine at all. After 2 days the sillage is close to the skin and short lived on the skin, better on clothes.

Beginning punches you in the nose with pure Nutella scent. Absolutely amazing. Then after about 30 minutes to an hour I cannot smell it on my skin anymore. What's left is almost a tobacco like smell, I feel like I smoked a few cigs and it soaked into my skin, which is just not my favorite. I kinda like it just because of the opening. 6.5/10

Definitely a smoky chocolate hazelnut. I didn’t like this at first, but it grew on me. It’s more of a dark chocolate than a sweet chocolate. I like to layer this one with Cookie Bite from Gulf Orchid because that one needs more chocolate and this one could use more sweetness. It makes the perfect chocolate cookie scent when combined.

If Ferrero Rocher and Nutella somehow made a cigar this is what it would smell like. I get a strong tobacco smell on my skin after 30 mins to an hour which I actually pleasantly enjoy. The opening is a beautiful hazelnut chocolate. A comforting cuddled up scent in my opinion.

I was hesitant to buy this after reading some of the reviews below, but I blind bought it anyway. I am a bit disappointed and not sure how I feel about this scent 😭 lowkey a blind-buy fail (but it’s ok coz I bought it from a £25 TikTok coupon, got it basically for free hehe). The opening is nice, very nutty and does in fact remind me of ferrero rocher chocolate balls. The dry down is where the problem is for me; smells like cigarettes as mentioned in some reviews I read, a smoky scent starts to overlap the chocolate scent. To me it’s the same kind of tobacco smell that is in Replica’s Jazz Club. I don’t appreciate that aspect of the fragrance. I will however play with this scent to see how my thoughts develop in regards to it.

For now it just smells ashtray to me. After testing many chocolate perfumes from arabic brands, I really believe they don’t know how to make good chocolate smell, unfortunately. I hope it gets better with time.

I don't know how I feel about this, lol. It smells very edible, like dark chocolate and nuts. It's beautiful, but I don't think I want to walk around smelling like a dessert. However, the white version, called White Forest Strawberry, smells like Kayali pistachio gelato/affection by lattaffa / khair pistachio by Paris corner but is smoother and better blended. I enjoy wearing this compared to the others because the pistachio and other notes are well-blended, and no note sticks out.

On first sniff, I got that Nutella scent everyone talks about. But it faded fast and turned into this woody, almost cigarette-like smell—not for me at all. When I layered it with Cream Velvet though, it completely changed. The vanilla softened everything and brought back that creamy, nutty chocolate I wanted. Alone it’s a miss, but layered it’s actually really nice.

Sold it.. Smells amazing first few seconds then it turns into this smoky hazelnut which im not a fan of at all. If it stayed as the nutella smell like the first seconds, id keep it.

Update; I’ve tried to get used to this - spraying it on me before bed time in a neutral setting etc. I’ve let it sit for a month and I like it more. The ‘dry’ toasted hazelnut scent which made this smell like ashtray to me has mellowed and the chocolate smell has come out more. It smells sweeter and a bit less smoky, though still smoky. I’ve been wearing it layered with creamier scents (like Noor Riifs for example) to round out the chocolate smell and make it smell less ‘dry’ and though it’s not one of my favourites in my collection, I kinda like it more than my first impression. A couple of my colleagues at work do NOT like this. I sprayed it on myself in the office and a girl goes ‘ew that fucking stinks’ and then I sprayed it on my boss and she agreed that she smelled like an ashtray. A male colleague thought it was far too strong and told me to stop spraying it. Regardless of their opinions, I’m more open to this scent and I like some aspects of it. Is it my fave chocolate scent? Absolutely not. Is it unique? Yeah. It’s kinda perfect for a super cold winter day and I can wear it now I’ve learned to layer it. There’s something about it I quite like but I would prefer that dry roasted hazelnut smokiness to... not be there. Maybe it’ll mellow it more in another month. 5/10 INTITIAL REVIEW; I just bought this and smelled it for the first time right now. It’s fucking gross. If you’re a gourmand girly or want choco goodness, don’t buy this. It smells like cheap hazelnut with such a pungent cigarette stench. 0/10 worst perfume I’ve smelled.

I wish i could be like everyone who says they smell Ferrero but I get NONE of that. In fact I got no chocolate whatsoever funnily enough. It smelled like a weird, tad bit strong chemical smell mixed in with some green notes. That is the best I can describe it. It did not give me what the notes give. I'd describe this as a somewhat green scent mixed in with dark coca (perhaps that is what gives it the strong scent and not so much chocolate to my nose?). I had to return it after having it for nearly a month, it did not change whatsoever.

I've heard it's Nutella/Ferrero Rocher scent, but all I get is old ashtray. Absolutely awful, I will be returning it tomorrow. I'll stick with Xandal Aromatix for the most realistic, pleasant dark chocolate scent. All the other chocolate forward perfumes I've tried so far had been a disappointment for me. This one probably the biggest which is a surprise as I love all my other Khadlaj fragrances. Sample before getting a full bottle, it's definitely a safer option.

I'm probably anosmic to something in this because there is no way I am smelling the same thing as the others. To me this smelled nothing like chocolate or cocoa, all I got was a weird sour chemical smell mixed with what others have said was ashtray and then some faint hazelnut that does remind me of Ferrero. Easy pass and I'm so glad I got a decant instead of blind buying.

Sooooo disappointed in this ;( I love chocolate fragrances but this does not smell like chocolate at all! The top notes are sharp and never seem to change to any of the other notes mentioned. Comes packed in a lovely box but I very upset that the perfume is not as described. I also bought the White Forest Strawberry perfume and I am very disappointed with that one too!

Another failed blind buy from Khadlaj after caffe latte.. it smells repulsive and nauseating. The first few seconds of spraying smell so confusing in a bad way, it almost smells like gasoline. I get the nuts but in a traditional herbal medicinal way, not in a dessert nutty way. Just like caffe latte, it smells like a cheap car freshener. I cannot stand this smell!

Nutella on steroids in its worst way! I bought it out of curiosity because I am a fan of chocolate but whatever this is, it almost sent me to the ER after the first sniff 🤢. I can’t describe how pungent this is, it’s like snorting rancid milk with caramelized chocolate.

Mine smells of chocolate mixed with sawdust and I'm mad now. Praying maceration will improve this but otherwise NO NO NO NOT GOOD. 0/10 blind buy fail.

It’s July 2025, I’ve just fallen headfirst into my gourmand era and suddenly everything I want to smell like is basically dessert. Cake? Yes. Donut? Absolutely. Frosting? Inject it. Chocolate? PUT IT IN THE VEINS. That’s when I met Brown Choco, one of the first gourmands I ever bought and honestly? It grabbed me by the nose and said, “You will smell edible. Sit down.” And for the price? It’s a no brainer. Actually, it’s a no brainer even if you have no brain left because gourmand obsession has already melted it down like hot chocolate. When I spray the cocoa top note? Instant time-travel. Suddenly, I’m back in Brighton in April 2025, clutching a hot chocolate like my life depends on it because I’d underestimated the British weather for the 300th time. It smells exactly like the fancy cocoa cafés I kept detouring into instead of sightseeing responsibly. The chocolate pistachio milk heart? Berlin May 2025. Berlin bakeries that made pistachio pastries so good I questioned whether moving there just for the desserts would be considered a valid life decision. Brown Choco captures that creamy pistachio goodness so well I swear I can hear myself saying, “Just one more piece,” for the ninth time. And the chocolate vanilla caramel base? That’s the caramel-drizzled churros I ate in London. It was warm. It was comforting. It was sweet. Much like this dry-down. Also like the churros, they didn't last very long because... I ate it. The perfume lasts longer. Barely. It’s creamy, it’s delicious, it projects like a socially anxious person trying really hard for the first two hours and then it turns into this soothing skin scent that says, “Hey bestie... let’s just relax and be edible quietly.” And yes, it is WAY better than its sibling, White Forest Strawberry (white bottle). That one smells exactly like Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33, which is great if you want to smell like pistachio air. Cute, sweet, harmless. But not the thicc chocolate deluxe experience I signed up for. This bottle is the reason my gourmand obsession escalated and I now want to smell like a walking bakery at all times. It’s also my unofficial scented postcard from 2025 - Brighton cocoa, Berlin pistachio pastries and a whole lot of London churros and other dessert decisions I do not regret.

PAPER STRIP TEST ONLY: I know this is a new product, so the event hasn’t had time to macerate. However, I’m already a fan! Sure, there’s a plasticky chocolate note but it doesn’t trouble me much as it is. My suspicion is that it will smooth out during maceration. I get a lovely lactonic note coupled with a lovely vanilla which gives me hope for a beautiful wear in the future. I’ve heard some people say that this smells like a Ferraro Roche chocolate candy prevalent around the holidays and common in gift baskets. Upon the dry down, I think that’s a fair comparison. The chocolate dusting is spot-on and there’s a pleasant nuttiness not dissimilar to the candy itself. I think it’s coming from the pistachio note listed, but that nuttiness reads more of an ambiguous — albeit lovely — nut in a chocolate bar. I don’t get the caramel, which frankly, I don’t mind. I really like this and plan to purchase a full bottle in prep of the colder months. It’s a more grown up version of ChocoMusk while retaining a gourmand chocolate scent. 8.5/10 Will report back with a full wear test!

Brown Choco - Khadlaj interpretation of Qahwa by Fragrance World. Yes this smells like Arabic coffee more than anything else. Quite smoky as well. The chocolate hazelnut note takes a step back after a few seconds. This is not ur Ferrero Rocher or Dubai Chocolate.. White Forest Strawberry- Khadlaj interpretation of Yum Pistachio Gelato by Kayali. Very disappointed in a few YouTubers who lied about this, knowing very well no one would buy it when they know what it’s actually duping. We already have 3000+ dupes for Yum, Khadlaj just late to the game so of course wouldn’t want u to know.

This is a superb chocolate nutty fragrance!!!! It is so realistic. It lasts long. This endured my 90min hot yoga session. I couldn’t believe it! It is so realistic, my partner who is allergic to nuts, was like did I bath in nuts or something. This is well worth the purchase. Edit: okay I find that, although it smells amazing, it doesn’t last long. I’m getting up to 4hrs maybe. I will definitely keep it, but I wanted a beast mode chocolate scent.

this is v much screaming nutella, so if you’re looking for something complex this deff isn’t for you. sliiightly smoky / mocha like, but not at all giving tobacco (or cigarettes) to me. this smells less like milk chocolate and more like an overpriced treat from a bakery in the city, but super photorealistic and linear.

This is nothing like Nutella nor Ferrero Rocher. On the drydown, I get a strong coffee note (probably the spicy woody notes) and that's about it. Not bad but certainly not chocolatey as I was hoping it to be.
