Desert Angel Blue Night

Le Chameau Desert Angel Blue Night, is supposedly a Killian Blue Moon clone; just to be upfront, I only tried the OG at a duty free once so I cannot really faithfully compare the two. Having said that, this piece here is nothing short of a dolly. Opens up with citrus from lemon but it has a certain aquatic feel to it owing to calone, which is not abrasive or salty such as you find in Megamare or its clones, it just rounds off the sharpness of the citrus while giving it a slightly sweet aquatic feel. Now the ginger here is exceptionally well done, which is the biggest surprise for me. For context, I tend to dislike ginger note in perfumes as it often comes across as sharp and one dimensional (looking at you Imagination clones) but here the ginger is very well balanced with the calone and boozy accord from vodka, giving it an almost minty mojito like feel. The ambroxan and white musk just gives it a pleasant sweetness and the base is not entirely "airy" thanks to the latter, which I definitely prefer. The performance is fairly decent, as it manages to last for 5-6 hours on my skin with good projection in the first 1.5-2 hours or so. I was constantly getting whiffs off it from a couple sprays on my arm, so I reckon it will have a decent sillage as well. The presentation is top notch, its like a circular Khamrah bottle (even the box is the same style) with a different texture; but the overall quality of the bottle is just made a lot better. The only issue with the bottle is the rather lame atomizer, which sprays short bursts, so maybe 2-3 sprays would equal 1 actual good spray, if that makes sense? Overall, this is an exceptional find for me! This is just so much more layered and sophisticated than the usual Imagination (or other LV clones at that) DNA which is very one dimensional and just too common at this point. I got this for about €25, and at that price this is a must try! Absolute banger.
