Nautica Blue

Bought it as my first cologne, save your 20$ and get literally anything else. The 1 and only reason anyone should ever buy this is for the pool or the gym because it has extremely light projection and it is short lasting but also very fresh so you can use it as a quick run to those places. It smells like the pool with a hint of sunscreen. You also could use this for the pool or the gym because it is cheap so you can just wash it off anyways and not have to worry about it. Overall, I regret blind buying and most likely will not do again. I personally like it and I am okay with it, but there are simply better options on the market. Overall, 7/10 fragrance because it is like 17$ at ross so you can't complain about it smelling like scented water when it is cheaper than water. Update:This fragrance has grown on me a lot. I still think there are better options for 20$ like nautica voyage or even a really small 1oz bottle of versace eros runs about 29$, but I have actually learned to really like this fragrance. When I first bought it, it just smelled like synthetic shower gel with ocean water, but now that it has macerated I can actually smell the notes, the top note isn't synthetic it still isn't the smoothest thing in the world but it doesn't hurt to breathe in, and it actually smells pretty dang good. The biggest thing for me that has made me actually really like it is the peach note that suddenly came out of no where with maceration. I got this fragrance I think in like February, and the performance, smell, longevity, smoothness, everything about it has gotten better. I actually think if you let this thing macerate it is a damn good fresh out of the shower smell for anyone, its got this timeless aspect to it for being a fragrance that came out so long ago, but still suitable for teens. I like this fragrance, its not for everyone, but it's for me. The sandalwood and musk in the basenotes makes it reminiscent of invictus parfum almost, which is my most favorite fragrance of all time. It's like Invictus if it had a sweeter, grittier 2000's twist to it. would I recommend it to someone? Not if you don't like scents with character. If you are a le male elixir glazer or a swy intensely warrior, then no this fragrance is not for you. But if you are looking for something simple and dumb reach that isn't gonna break the bank and no one else is really wearing these days, go for it. Even if you don't like it, its 20$ and a pretty cool bottle for a collection. Overall (after maceration) scent:8/10 I enjoy this scent the peach in the top note makes it really unique to other freshies and it breaks down nicely into sandalwood and musk which I am a fan of. 2 points off because at the end of the day its still slightly synthetic which no amount of maceration will take away. Performance:6.5/10 decent siliage decent longevity nothing to write home about. Like 4 hours out of this so definitely an out of the shower start to your day kind of thing so that way it'll wear off by the night and you can wear your versace Eros or ultramale types of scents for the night. Atomizer is bad and my cap broke when I dropped the bottle. can't expect much for 20$ Value:9/10 not much beats a 20$ 100ml cologne in general and this thing smells pretty damn good Overall:8/10 I'm happy with my purchase and I only have 1/5 of the bottle after like 2 months. that alone sums up how I feel about it. Its not that Ive used it so much because I like it that much, Ive used it that much cuz its so dumb reach I wear this to school sometimes, the gym, out of the shower and at formal gatherings with small numbers of people so that way I can just smell nice and not offend anyone (ik its not your typical formal scent but everyone likes fresh fragrances and my only other option is cdnim which is way too beast mode for formal gatherings) :)

Back in the early years of my marriage (before I was even married) my husband bought me a bottle of this. He has a good 10 years on me, so he’s experienced some of the more classic and known fragrances that people talk about that I’m admittedly naive to. But when he first gave it to me for Christmas he commented that this cologne is meant for me. And after five years and after finishing one bottle, recently getting my second, I couldn’t agree more. This is the definition of a bright, airy cologne and every time I compare anything that is airy, light and clean, it’s compared to this immediately. Everything about this is nice, it has good sillage, it lasts a pretty decent time and even sticks to clothes decently, and best of all it’s usually fairly priced for the size of bottle you get, and on top of that, is a usual sight at places like Burlington and Ross so you can usually get a pretty good deal on it. This is definitely one of those fragrances that I need to have in my collection at all times because of its sheer versatility. The only gripe I have is that this scent is SO airy and light that it doesn’t quite feel right for winter. But that’s probably more on me, the seasons do tend to change my mind and tastes. But other than that, I don’t think you can go wrong with this.

Follow up to my last review. After around 6 months of maceration. This stuff went from my worst performing frag to absolute beast mode. I slept in this fragrance and it is still projecting off of my arm. Don't get it twisted however, fresh out of the box this stuff is a skin scent after 5 minutes and goes away after 30. It is also much more synthetic when you first buy it. Post maceration review (6 months) Performance:8/10 projection could be better but longevity is eternal Smell:7.5/10 it's a creamy peach smell in the top note and then drys down to a woody soap. It's good, just an extremely common DNA that doesn't have much depth to the smell. Value:10/10 buy a bottle and use it enough for air to get into the bottle and then just let it sit for 6 months it's worth it I promise Fire out of shower and gym smell

Two major points of contention on Nautica Blue seem to be the longevity and the scent itself. My take on both aspects: Longevity: 6/10. Longevity is not great, I admit, but with a relatively heavy application of around six sprays (neck and chest) I easily get a fragrance that lasts most of the day, albeit as a skin scent. What seems to help is that Blue has a nice woody backbone to it; this is not an airy, ephemeral scent. With six sprays or more, I am completely satisfied with Blue's staying power. Scent: 7/10. An admittedly ordinary but well-crafted aquatic-type scent, definitely for warmer weather. I get the impression that I've smelled this fragrance before, but is one I am definitely glad to be in my collection.

It's Christmas time...but I'm in Cambria. The days have been rainy, but today the sun is out. I brought Nautica Blue on this trip and Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Bart. It was the right thing to do since we're near the coast. Today I present Naitica Blue. It goes so perfect in this cool weather. The cleanliness of this frag brightens up ever so slightly with the underlined sun tan freshness. It's like a gelled cool wave with a clean cotton white linen scent to me. Perfect low profile scent in cool weather. Definately spray at least seven sprays in different areas of the body in the cool weather. Doesn't scream look at me. Just enough for a search and find, hide and seek kind of juice.

Guys on here reviewing this like they’re Siskel & Ebert....you realize 99.9% of people buying this have no clue what Fragrantica is. Even if they do, they really don’t care that you’ve decided to show how fancy you are by letting everyone know this isn’t a cologne you’d be caught dead in. Stick to the niche fragrances that you are so very famous for reviewing. The scent itself is better than the price and its performance is quite indicative of it. Let the peasants continue to find this on the discount racks and enjoy their $12 bottles in peace. The sun will still rise in the east and set in the west and you unfortunately, will continue to be a douche bag.

This fragrance is more than great for it's price. Clean, fresh and appealing. I'm tired of people complaining about how cheap and generic it smells... If you are looking forward to smell "natural" then I suggest rubbing some fruits or flowers on yourself. This fragrance smells blue to me, definitely has some fruityness but I don't get any clear pinneaplple or peach notes. I live in Central America, and here there's only dry or rainy season. This cologne lasts long on my skin (4 sprays around my neck last about 6 hours) with a very decent sillage, in this weather it works fantastic considering it's price. Worth buying? Of course, affordable and pleasing.

Blue the fragrance. If the color blue had a specific scent associated with it, it would be this. The note breakdown could just read "blue" and I would nod my head in agreement and not think about it at all. I understand that there are fruity, floral and woody notes in this thing. It's so synthetic that I can barely pick out any real notes. All I get is "blue" and "chemical." Regardless, this stuff smells great. I love it, it reminds me of a specific time in my life. I adore this. It's cheap, it's safe, it's easy and inoffensive. It smells like soap, it smells clean. It's good. My answer to "should I get this?" will always be "why not?"

I read some comments about this fragrance, and I do not get the same vibes. In my personal opinion, this is an aquatic, soapy, fresh, sweet but not clogging, unisex, and uplifting fragrance. I do not know about the sillage, but I can tell you that it remains long-lasting on my skin and forever on my clothes. Great price for a fragrance that you could use on any occasion, It performs better during warm weather, at least is when I have been using it.

Nautica Blue is one of the best fragrances ever made due to its timeless and versatile aquatic scent profile, seamlessly combining fresh citrus notes with a subtle, yet captivating blend of aromatic woods and musk, making it suitable for various occasions and appealing to a wide range of individuals predominantly female. Ong this a certified hood classic GOAT ultra beast mode all year p4*ty droppa fragrance!!!

Nautica Blue EDT Another great fresh out of the shower scent by master perfumer Maurice Roucel. Initial blast is too citrusy however, it becomes better atfer 30secs. Fresh, Clean & Aromatic that is mass appealing. Perfect for summer, beach, gym, office, hot and humid days. A very versatile & blind buy safe fragrance for all ages. Bang for buck!

Id say this is Voyage's not spoken about older brother fragrance. I think personally one of the best CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP type fresh fragrance ive smelt. I get wayyy more compliments wearing Nautica Blue than wearing stuff like Versace Pour Homme, Prada L'homme, and more! Its a perfect fragrance for summer outdoor days or by the beach!

Opening was slightly harsh, but then it settles in to a very soft aquatic base. Perfect blind buy. The performance might not be top notch, but given the price point and aquatic notes, that's pretty much expected. Great for gym or any short term needs especially in summer or humid conditions 8/10.

There is nothing not to like about this EDT. For me it's just a pleasure to the nose, from the opening and after, not sophisticated, but still smells freshy and great! Just really don't stay for long on the skin, at least I'm not aware to it after 3-4 hours.

Its smells very fresh, floral, fruity, and woody, like a deodorant or shower gel, it just doesn’t perform but for 20$ you can’t really ask for more they should really make it stronger 7.5/10

Synthetic and cheap. I love the smell, it does not last long. At one point I get a creamy vibe from it. For $10 this is awesome. Fresh, blue (who would have thought hehe), and clean.

This is the first blind buy cologne that also happens to be the first cologne my dad bought me. Bought it at Marshall’s for $20 and was a great deal. Soon as we opened the package and smelled it my dad asked if we could return it, too late now. I didn’t love it at first and wore it a couple times then stored it in my drawer for maybe a year. I wore something and didn’t wear anything on an off for the year until two months ago. It is currently averaged around 25 celsius degrees and this cologne works great for this weather. I loved it after wearing a cinnamon-floral spicy cologne all winter. It’s a light fruity and woody cologne that you would only notice hanging on someone else’s neck. This does start working very well when I’m in the gym or doing physical activity and my skin warms up. The strong sandalwood immediately starts giving off and it is overall real pleasant. I put this on about 7 in the morning and can barely smell it 4 in the afternoon. Good enough for school. Also a plus because this doesn’t choke people (*cough* kids who wear 10 sprays of Dior Sauvage Elixir, I hope you burn.) Love this because it doesn’t offend people but you also don’t smell because this covers it up. If you see it, buy it. It’s at least very good for refreshing yourself if you smell off or going to be in physical activity for a couple hours. Note: This does start off smelling like toilet cleaners, but let it sit for half an hour until all the alcohol and the opening water lily is gone, and that’s when it gets good. 8/10
