Tiare

This is wonderful, but you have to give it some time Ive been using their monoi for a while, and after trying all of them, the original just ended up being my favorite. The tiare flower has such a gorgeous scent that is underused in perfume and misused in body products (its always listed in things but never actually shines) So i decided to get this perfume. Mainly for the cute bottle (very simple sure, but i think its cute) It is also extremely hot in the netherlands, so i needed to stray away from my warm vintage ambers. The scent itself opens up smelling shockingly more like a spring floral with aldehydes. By that i mean daffodil, hyacinth, anything sharp and green and heady. This was completely different from the monoi that smelled heady and rubbery and creamy. I dont say im particularly a fan of the opening stages. After 5 minutes or so, the perfume continues to be heady but the sharpness fades away a bit. A weird aquatic freshness comes, which is ALSO a bad thing to my nose because that is not at all how tiare smells in my head. 5 minutes after this, the perfume finally decides to behave and becomes this gorgeous, deep, sunny, sultry, seductive, indolic and heady floral that smells exactly like their monoi 10x. Their monoi has never smelled coconutty to me, and i dont pick up on coconut here either. This makes it rather unique for a tropical summer fragrance: no fruit, no coconut, no suntan lotion, just straight up flowers. I am positively surprised by this beautiful find. I just wish the opening wasnt so wild, but waiting 10 minutes for such beauty isnt a hard task. It is also quite strong, you wont be disappointed at all by its performance
