Cherry Gossip

I just received this today and it's a little cold-shocked from shipping but I couldn't resist spraying it right away. There is definitely a strong cherry right at first spray, along with strong coffee and licorice. I love the licorice in this but I love that note in anything. I don't have any of the popular cherry frags or dupes in my collection, so this is the most cherry forward that I have smelled in a while. The licorice fades to the back and I definitely get the sweet-bitter interplay, the same as in the description. I'll get a whiff of coffee but the next whiff is a sweet milky and powdery cherry, vaguely reminding me of a candy powder called Lik-m-Aid/Fun Dip in the cherry flavour. This interplay has been going on for about 3 hours now, but sits fairly close on my skin. I am not getting any woods. I have only tried Black Opium over Red once, but I immediately did not like it. Cherry Gossip is not comparable to it, aside from the cherry and coffee angle. It so far has proven to be a fun scent that seems pretty uniqueand I am looking forward to wearing it more after it recovers from shipping and matures. I'll update or edit if things change over the next few weeks or months.

This perfume is everything I love! I'm not a fan of bright, fruity, cherry, nor syrupy, cherry-liquor. This is perfectly balanced with sweetness and powdery notes make it so beautiful and feminine.

Update: it has macerated beautifully! The cherry is even more projecting and the blend is seriously amazing! This smells sooo good to me, it has this really nostalgic cherry toffees/ lollipops scent to me though I cant pinpoint the exact one. It does not smell juvenile at all but really grown and lovely, and the coffee is not too prominent but gives it this solid base and even leans a little chocolately. It does not have that medicinal cherry smell at all. I had sampled Black Opium Over Red and really liked it and decided to try this, I think this is even better. It has more cherry and sweetness, and the cherry lasts all the way through the wear unlike Over Red. I also really get a lot of milkiness. Love it. I also got a chance to try Lattafa's Mayar Cherry Intense and although initially they didnt seem to be similar, by the drydown they were close enough that you could see they are different versions of the same thing. There were slight differences like Mayar Cherry smelling of stronger chocolate in the opening and a more cough drop more intense cherry as well as sweet strawberry mix which really shines in the drydown, and Cherry gossip being more lactonic, a less intense cherry which is more of a cola/ candy dip cherry and the coffee chocolate note taking over more in the drydown. I kind of love both and got Mayar Cherry Intense as well. Update: I have grown to prefer Mayar Cherry Intense, its just a lot more intense and Cherry Gossip is leaning on body spray.

as an over sprayer, I can get a little nose blind to my own perfume. apparently this one has pretty good sillage because someone complimented me from across the room lol. As for the scent, its a pleasant sweet creamy cherry, NOT medicinal or juvenile at all. I like this one compared to other cherry fragrances Ive smelled. Its more playful and flirty, but somehow clean-girl coded at the same time. Nice for day or night, not too sweet or cloying. Just a great smelling option, not offensive or too 'loud.'

I like this .... I’m not like blown away by any means ... but today wore it on a quick grocery run and I’ve never gotten more compliments in my life ! So there’s that lol .... She’s a pretty lactonic cherry smoke .... Def worth trying 😊
