Solar Wind

Solar wind is a bright and uplifting fragrance. Much like it’s name, you can envision the feeling of the sun encapsulating your surroundings. The introduction is refreshing and sparkling. The rhubarb is strong at first, but begins to fuse with the rest of the composition(juicy citrus, berries honey, guava) , it is a conglomerate of warm, yet crystaline and delicious fruit notes. The diversity of fruit, works so well and develops floral nuisances to me, which I’d say is due to the guava accord. A great addition to these solar notes is the sandalwood/ambrocenide base, carrying this composition like a ray of sunlight, brightening your mood and aura. Concept interpretation is very well done. One of the few solar fragrances that don’t feel like a mess! The mix of berries citrus, and tropical fruit are so organic and natural, which help elevate our olfactive sense and tingle our nose. I love the smooth blend, it is a great work on fruits, without having a harsh synthetic feeling. Sandalwood as mentioned earlier, really brightens this composition even more, and adds that flare/ warmth to complete the feeling of bracing the sunlight. Wearability is quite easy, this is a great alternative to Bergamask, from Orto Parisi for those who aren’t a fan of the harsh scent profile which I also personally enjoy.. The musks, sandalwood, and citruses are much more smoother, brighter, and well blended. This of course has a different direction, but for me I find this better overall in terms of wearability. So unique, yet so easy to love! I easily recommend this perfume, as it is a great introduction to the perfume house. I can wear this anywhere any time, there is enough sweetness and depth for cold weather, and enough bright refreshing notes to keep your nose happy in the heat. Performance is top notch, this perfume lasted me over 10 hours, projecting for around 6. The balance of performance and artistry is perfection, not many houses are able to do one of the two without sacrificing another! Kudos to the perfumer. Value is superb, like many perfumes from this house, I find it as a bang for buck purchase. $195/50ml can get you performance, wearability, versatility, and a unique scent with Solar Wind. Final Verdict 5/5 it is a sophisticated, tame, very elegant for a bright perfume, and very easy to wear. I say give it a sample test, but if you like the notes, it will smell easy going for you as it did to me. Happy sniffing!

Completely stunning! Like Orto Parisi's Bergamask and Nishane Hacivat had a baby. Extremely bold bright and beautiful no, sexy. A perfect hot Summer scent... What does vitality look like? Like this perfume from Pictura Fragrans - SOLAR WIND. Raspberry-sweetened rhubarb creates excitement from the very first spray. It's like a fresh breeze blowing through the rays of the summer sun, bringing with it a good mood and joie de vivre. Vitamin C is pumped into the bloodstream, conjuring up images of pears and figs in the mind and on the tongue – that's what South American guava tastes like. After a while, the light strawberry note is overshadowed by the acidity with a hint of grapefruit bitterness, thanks to which, along with elemi resin, you immediately breathe better. The aroma in this state lasts and lasts... In the base – after a very long time – the citrus note fades... This scent sprung forth with sunshine and smells of citrus, fruit, and sea notes. All of that floated into my nostrils as soon as I applied it. I love the cosmic elements in this extrait de parfum, which is very aptly described by the Pictura Fragrans website. Perfect for daytime, spring, or summer, or to sweeten a murky winter.

I saw the Northern Lights last night, and Pictura Fragrans' Solar Wind is the closest I've found to bottling that celestial magic. It starts with a burst of citrus and berries, like a cosmic explosion, seriously - BOOM! Then transforms into something warmer and more mysterious. It's a captivating scent that lasted for hours, and I couldn't stop getting compliments on it. If you're looking for a unique, out-of-this-world fragrance, definitely give Solar Wind a try!

Beautifully created! Seemingly different from any of my typical scents I’d usually try but has definitely become a favorite. Bold citrus notes come through at first but mellow down to a sweeter, more fruitful musk. This will surely last all night long and leave you with a handful of compliments from strangers alike.

Smells like a orange peel in a good way. Extremely potent on me lasts AGES, i do think this is hard to wear normally though it smells so different to most designers.

Beautiful mixture of rhubarb and fruits with citrus and dries down with musk sandalwood and a little freshness, smells colorful. Lovely for summer and rhubarb lovers

I bought this perfume and Surinam Very from Pictura and had super high hopes for both. From the reviews I thought all of there notes were super interesting. My fiance and I tried them and both of us did not like either one. I like all of the notes individually and thought the concepts are so cool but just can't get behind wearing them. I will say that the smell last forever and has a long longevity, and as it dries down it's not as pungent. Over all just not for me but so many others seem to like it.

Probably the best Rhubarb fragrance I’ve tried and also one of the only fragrances with a strawberry note that I enjoy. Smells like being in a rocket with fruits flying around. Definitely full bottle worthy.

Juicy freshly cut citrus over guava & rhubarb. Bright, fresh & pleasant, feels like a cross between Van Gogh’s Irises & Surinam Vert.
