Blossom Jam Tea Cakes

Beautiful, stunning, edible, gorgeous! As a gourmand lover I am pretty over the moon about this perfume. It ticks all of my boxes for sure! I can definitely smell the delicate and fluffy yellow and white cake, the fondant, the fruit preserves, the inference of lavender tea and palmarosa... I applied my sample liberally this morning and while it's all settled and melded together at this point (9 hours later), it's still going strong. I have Britney Spears Fantasy and, while I've heard that the original version of it was to die for, I feel like Blossom Jam Tea Cakes probably had a similar dry down. The white chocolate feel is still there even if it's not an actual note. Whenever I wear my current Fantasy I'm most definitely going to layer this on top so I can amp it up! I have 11 samples from Solstice Scents and so far I've LOVED the three that I've worn, and have had no longevity problems. At this point, I probably need to buy stock in Solstice Scents!

This is quite a lovely gourmand. I have a small vial of it, having purchased a pretty large variety of different scents to try from Solstice awhile back. Just revisited it today. Definitely one of my favorites from them. It's funny, I just sampled a decant of Lira yesterday, and decided to wear this today, unaware of the comparisons. I LOVED Lira, it's the best thing I've smelled in awhile. This isn't quite on the same level, but they do both have the citrus cake thing going on, frosting and all. Lira has cinnamon and licorice in the mix, if this did I'd be in heaven, but it doesn't. Still yummy. Neither of them seem to be especially long lasting, sadly, but obviously that's a bit more forgivable at the Solstice Scents price point! The orange note can be a little overpowering on me, especially at first. After it settles down for awhile, it mellows a bit.

My favorite fragrance from SS, I have the oil (I believe it comes in an EDP alcohol spray too). It smells just like I imagined it would--like Alice in Wonderland's tea party. I get something like vanilla cake, corn cakes, frosting on everything, berry jam, tea with milk, honey, scones, wild blooms carried on the breeze. It is incredibly good in the summer months, but it would also perk up a boring winter's day. Twenty stars and quite possibly my favorite gourmand of all time.

I have a sample of the EDP for this and I'm really enjoying it. Definitely more sweet than floral, I can pick out the cupcake/frosting notes with the peach/strawberry. Reminds me of a strawberry cupcake with a fruity tea to drink. Good projection and longevity. I think this is full bottle worthy because it stands out to me in regards to other fruity, sweet perfumes.

I’ve recently ordered a bunch of more feminine samples from Solstice Scents. Not really intending on wearing them but I just find their descriptions fascinating and the perfumes are always intriguing and unique. I try to go a little in depth on review but for this I’m just gonna go with.... Smells like Fruity Pebbles cereal had a glam make over. Its really nice.

Wow! This is the best thing I've smelled in a long time. Its not just cake scent. Its the other notes coming together to make a wonderful gourmand fragrance. Its like the mixed smell of all kinds of cakes, like you are standing at a table full of sweet choices. AveParfum is right on in thinking of Alice & Wonderland.

So so good. I got a sample of this and was pleasantly surprised. It kind of reminds me of the milk after eating fruity pebbles cereal. Or a London fog latte. It’s delicate, sweet and lactonic. I can’t really compare it to anything else I’ve tried.. so bonus points for originality! Feminine and yummy.

this shit smells like straight fruit loops (positive)

I bought a sample pack from Solstice Scents after reading the fragrantica article the house and being very intrigued by their offerings. I like every single sample I ordered. They smell natural and some are quite unique. Blossom Jam Tea Cakes is one of the most unique that I've tried. It really does smell like a tea party at Willy Wonka's. It smells whimsical and playful. Cakes, fruits, florals, and tea. One of my favorites from this house. AveParfum's review is SPOT ON! I've never smelled Lira so I can't say if it's similar. -

It smells like the description. starts with a blast of lavender then mellows down into a honey tea scent with some floral tones. It lovely but not my favorite.

Not sure what she's going for here. Flowers or jam or tea cakes (whatever those are-it's not England & she's in FL). This kind of smelled like if you remember the original Strawberry Shortcake toys? When you opened the box, they'd smell like Strawberries or Blueberries or Huckleberries (again, what?). Plus the smell of a rubber toy. Not super great. I still have some from the 80's. That is what Blossom Jam Tea Cakes smells like. Really Fake, pretend fruit scents, a manufacturing rubber scent, not sure how this is Unisex, it smells like something maybe made for small children. Hard pass.

I know my opinion is going to be offensive since so many people like this scent, but here me out.. Juul/vape juice. This has that deep, sticky glycerin quality of a fruity flavored vape juice or Juul. My dad loves the juicy flavors and his whole apartment smells vaguely of this perfume/those vape juices. It does also remind me of cereal milk, another smell I do not like. Sorry, not for me.

This literally smells like those 80s powder juices that you add to water to make a really bad soda. Orange one, to be exact. Zero other notes. Exact replica of that soda. Uncanny

Lots of sweet and salty butter. Not a hint of fruit anywhere. I find no florals or cream. This is very weird, like they forgot to add the rest of the notes. Review of official PERFUME EXTRAIT sample purchased directly from SolsticeScents.com

I am not generally a fan of gourmands, but I do know that Solstice Scents always hits the mark with their delectable dessert-influenced fragrances... and though perhaps Blossom Jam Tea Cakes is not–initially– my cup of tea, I can recognize that it’s a lovely portrayal of these dainty tea-time delicacies. Fluffy cakes, jammy preserves, and, later, the rich sweetness of buttercream round out this fragrance. Several hours later I catch whiffs of a plastic-y vanilla from my wrist, and that is fine with me; it reminds me of sniffing the heads of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls when I was a little girl, and it’s a comforting reminder that sometimes a little sweetness can be a very nice thing.

Forget "flormands" being basic because this one is super interesting. It comes off as quite naturalistic and essential oil heavy, surprising for this genre, beginning with a strong and realistic citrus. Initially a bit bitter, and the flowers, mildly indolic, but with patience, softens up beautifully. The drydown is all cake with marmalade; almost edible. Feels like what other comparable scents strive for. The main downside is that I find this can trigger headaches if I am not careful. Not a huge love, because of that and the opening being one I feel like I try to "get through", but one of my favorites from the house, with greater sillage and longevity than many of their offerings.

I get sweet cakes and fruity tea from this one. Quite nice...debating if I need more. I read comparisons to Lira below which I have and this is not similar at all to my nose. Lira is lavender, caramel and vanilla. I don’t get any lavender or caramel from this one. They both are sweet gourmands but that’s about it.

Edp spray smells very much like Fruit Loops upon middle and drydown. It's fun and unusual at first, but the Fruit Loops association is unavoidable for me.

It's gourmand and aromatic at the same time. It's interesting, but nothing that I'd run for.
