Lovestory

Tried this from the Saltworks discovery set. On paper I thought this might be a bit too floral for my taste as I tend to lean more citrussy and fresh, and while this has citrus top notes, they're not strong and the florals come through much more. I actually really enjoyed wearing this though and it's one of the tops of my list for purchasing a larger bottle. It's really pleasant and the sillage is stronger than others in the set. I felt I could smell it all day and I liked it a lot. There are a few real gems in this Discovery set.

Bright floral opening, quite rose heavy. Gives off the impression of a high quality floral, not cheap. Hints of lemon at the start, quite dry powdery body, churchy floral, not in a bad way but I wouldn't describe it as a 'young' scent. Feminine leaning fragrance. Longevity 7/10

I quite like this—it's simple like all of Saltworks that I have smelled thus far, and makes me think of a Gin and Tonic. It's light and refreshing, but there is a sort of "boringness" to it.

A very feminine floral scent. Smells good but nothing different.

I greatly enjoyed the opening of this perfume, which is a symphony of rose and lily. Following that the bergamot and limey citrus gently emerges. There is something powdery about it, bordering on Parma Violet (the candy!). There's definitely some mint somewhere in there as it opens up. Very strong projection, only one spray needed. I wouldn't describe this scent as being sensual or daring, it's more of a bright, fresh, feminine floral pop that could be suitable for formal occasions and professional settings. I quite like it, it's invigorating. I’m not sure it’s something I’d like to wear as a perfume though. A warning, this scent is quite “loud”. If you are sensitive to perfumes (like I am) you may find it nauseating in its potency.

Lady Marmalade is not on Fragrantica but is in the sample set from Saltworks so just quickly; fine, inoffensive and weak tbh. Could barely smell it over the gypsy water (!!!!!!!!!!) that was already on my sleeve, which is saying something! Ok Lovestory: its very lime forward, smells like the feminine version of Sun Garden their newest one. Subtle floral vibes with a hint of mint that is not listed anywhere as a note but I still get a hint of it.

This is nice, clean, citrusy floral. Very good sillage and decent projection. The problem is.... it is basic, boring and forgetable. Like thousands of others in the same category. This is very plain and absolutely nothing ground braking. Whilst it isn't bad, I am in no rush to purchase a full bottle.

Smells like Coco Mademoiselle just got out of a heavily chlorinated public swimming pool.
