Bare Vanilla Daydream

i'm surprised this was released now, since this whole collection seems more like a spring collection than a fall collection to me. either way, bare vanilla flankers are always a safe blind buy for me. this is slightly lighter and not as deep as the original, and it has a little bit of a bubblegum-like, candy quality (froot loops?) to it that's unexpected. the sandalwood is there but it just contributes to the clean and candy-feeling by giving it a powdery quality with a smooth (not smoky or masculine) woodiness. i assume it's just how the sandalwood is done in this, but it reads almost tea-like and citrusy (bergamot?)--it reminds me of a london fog--cozy, vanillic, but with an earl grey nuance. it's also got a kind of a kilian vibe. i wouldn't say it's a dupe for any particular fragrance, but if you like scents like love don't be shy or princess, this will be right up your alley too. it's a gorgeous scent but it's so so light so feel free to overspray and reapply as needed!

this scent is pure, soft, vanilla-marshmallow bliss! it's like if you took the sweetest things you can think of and turned it into a perfume. like everyone here said, it's very airy and light. not all perfumes have to be deep and complex; sometimes you just wanna feel like you got dipped in a cotton candy machine. i got this as a gift from america given by my grandma. compared to the original, this is definitely fluffier and has less of that smoky element. weirdly enough, i don't smell the cashmere on this variant even though it's listed there. but just like the original, it does fade kind of easily once you step outside. me personally, i don't really see that as a setback. in short, totally get this perfume if you wanna smell like a delectable snack!!! ^_^

In search for a good vanilla body mist after snow mint, which had a great scent of vanilla, whipped cream, and white chocolate dried-down, I found this! This one smells soooo good. Very marshmallowy and vanilla when dried down. However, it is intense in sandalwood when first sprayed. After 3 minutes or so, I can only smell sandalwood on my skin where I sprayed. Its longevity is good, I think, I can smell it on my hair and clothes after hours, but I am not sure if others smell it. I am trying to find a vanilla perfume like this. If anybody knows one please tell me!! Comment above because I will be checking lol

Easy blind buy for me as a gourmand/bare vanilla lover, and this is delicious! I find it stronger than the OG bare vanilla & sweeter with a bit more depth. It has a candy-like, fluffy, marshmallow sweetness, and the sandalwood doesn't overpower the vanilla in any way; it just gives it warmth. It's a really nice balance. This is a great layering perfume as well. I like to use this with bare-sueded vanilla. ♡ If you love the vanilla brulee, gilded vanilla, and bare vanilla cashmere flankers I highly recommend grabbing this one for your collection as well

smells a lot like bath & body works boardwalk taffy. I like that scent, so I like this one. it smells a lot like fruity pebbles or fruit loops with vanilla extract. really faint though and has a little bit of a fresh, scented baby wipe smell in the dry down. I blind buy at least one of every version of bare vanilla because i love the core scent and am a huge vanilla lover in general. if you are like me and are a gourmand, vanilla lover, you pretty much can't go wrong with this. the only negative for me is it whispers when I want it to shout

This body spray is pretty great. I often spray it in my hair when I’m wearing a vanilla forward perfume. It has a lightness to it that feels happy and feminine to me. It’s not a heavy or deep gourmand at all, very airy and pretty. My boyfriend always comments on how great I smell when I’m wearing this. Will purchase again in a heartbeat.

This is such a beautiful linear airy vanilla scent that beats the original Bare Vanilla. It’s great for layering and you can easily wear it during summer if you still want to smell like vanilla. I just wish it wasn’t a mist obviously, since it has no longevity or sillage. And I also wish it didn’t get discontinued 😭

i bought this because i was out of the og bare vanilla and i wanted to try it. honestly, it is basically the same as the og but slighty softer! it’s airer and a bit more delicate but basically the same as og bare vanilla. i love everything bare vanilla so this is a yes from me :)

Whoever said LDBS, I totally smell that. When I first smelled this in store I kept wondering what it reminded me of. Then it hit me, it smells like fruit loops. I also smelled this in LDBS, so maybe that’s why it reminds me of it.

a very light and airy vanilla, i'm also getting a marshmallow note. overall, it smells like a sweet, airy vanilla ice cream. smells good and is not cloying to my nose. a good blind purchase.

Smells great i smell somethinf sour in this but its very subtle like barley can smell it and doesnt really last long without its lotion but with it u can get a good 1-2 hours of longevity

This one is so yummy! The sandalwood gives off a very soft and sweet ambery scent, and dries off nicely into a sweet and marshmallowy vanilla. This one always gets me compliments!

Obsessed, and buying backups! If you like Commodity Milk, Phlur Vanilla Skin, Killian Princess, Frenshe Vanilla Cashmere, or BBW Vanilla Romance you will like this.

This is such a likable vanilla scent - sweet but not overly, creamy, slightly lactonic, fluffy. What's not to like?

I don't have any idea how some get fruit loops from this mist!? I found it super close sitting. It's very much a skin scent from the start. It also has an airy quality to it. I could see using this simple scent as a layering piece to soften some heavier fragrances that border on the overwhelming spectrum. I also don't get a true marshmallow scent as some others have reported. However, I get how the sandalwood leans into an almost smokey realm topped with a super soft (not sweet) vanilla could seem like sitting next to a campfire roasting marshmallows. But this is no where near gourmand to me. It's far more a woody scent on the whole and the sandalwood doesn't exactly sing as I'm used to that note doing on me. It's also not creamy as many sandalwood notes can seem. I'd rather say it's very dry. I'll have to try this on a warmer, more humid day. I have an inkling that it might better perform in the heat. So, if a dry, woody yet airy vanilla skin scent is your thing, then scoop this up. Otherwise, it's probably best avoided.

I never smelled the original bare vanilla. This is a light airy marshmallow like vanilla. It is almost like a spritzer vanilla, cool and refreshing. This can be easily worn in the spring and summer months and layered with subtle ultra feminine scents like the marc jacobs line. It is non cloying, and not a syrupy, heavily gourmand bakery vanilla at all. It can be worn in the fall and winter I guess but a heavier syrup bakery vanilla would seem more appropriate for those seasons. It is very VERY light and needs heavy sprays to get a moderate effect.

Rich, creamy vanilla that has a touch of alcoholic darkness. I'm not sensing the sandalwood. At times, I get a whisper of saltiness when I put my nose against the area I sprayed. It is a pleasant vanilla but a little basic. It's 6/10 sweet, so not sugary or syrupy. Bare Vanilla Cashmere is a lot darker. It is sort of similar to Pink Vanilla & Dreamy in how simple it is. It definitely has a bit of dark though. If you want it to project, you'll need to spray 6 or more times. I didn't expect to like this the most of the 4, but I do.

I love this mist, it's such a cozy scent that I love to wear on it's own when I'm just being at home, or before going to bed. It's very fluffy, comforting and sweet vanilla with marshmallow vibes. It's also perfect to layer with lots of other perfumes to add a touch of sweet, airy, fluffy-ness. But it's VERY light, and it does not last long at all on the skin. That's a pity.

This is really nice! Nothing complex or fancy, but pleasant and cozy. On initial spray I get straight up pure vanilla extract, and on the dry down I get vanilla and marshmallow (even though marshmallow isn’t a listed note). Pretty and simple. This is a favorite for bedtime in the fall/winter for me.

I mean if you love a creamy and sweet sandalwood fragrance this is your pick! I really love it (can't stop sniffing my wrist) but to my dismay it doesnt last long (given that its a mist). I'd love if anyone can recommend me an edp just like this.

It's a very pretty, simple, fluffy vanilla with sandalwood. Unfortunately quite weak and not long lasting, the original bare vanilla is way stronger wand lasts way longer, I layer them.

Super fluffy and airy, overall a great scent. I prefer this version over the original, not sure why but the original smells like roasted chicken flavored chips to me.😅

Something about this reminds me of my childhood and not in a good way. There's something plasticky and powdery (and I love a good Hypnotic Poison and JHAG Mmmm so that's not why I dislike it). I think I had some little kid makeup or lip gloss or lip balm that this smells exactly like. For some reason my mind is going to Bratz? IDK if they ever had 'makeup' but that's what this reminds me of: pretend kiddy 'lip gloss' from 2008. Edit:...returned it

First, the scent was very weak, weaker than bare vanilla original. and no sandalwood scent. It smells fluffy and sweet, like vanilla + marshmallow or strawberry cream or something. And it doesn't resemble cashmere at all. Cashmere has a more mature vanilla scent than the original. this one is childish and a little cheesy scent to me.

Sorry but this smells exactly like the regular bare vanilla lol. Pointless

Uhhh...somebody PLEASE tell me how this possibly smells like “fruit loops”?!? It in no way does.. There is NO citrus or fruit in this what-so-ever. I wish it DID smell like fruit loops! I went in store for SAS today excited to buy it and was majorly disappointed. It’s honestly exactly how I imagined it in the first place before I started reading the reviews. I initially disregarded the entire daydream collection because the scent notes seemed so boring. I actually ended up liking PS DD but yeah this is bland, extremely light and not even a sweet or creamy vanilla.

Wow, this one is so good it's my new favorite of the BV flankers, knocking Luxe out of the top spot! The vanilla is fluffy and marshmallowy in this one to the point it smells like vanilla icing! I stg if it had a more 'edible' name, PerfumeTok would be losing its damn mind! Get the lotion too, it's even more creamy and icing-like. ✨ Heavenly ✨ EDIT 2/1/25: still good, still really like this but I think I like the lotion a bit more in Daydream than the mist. Luxe is now currently back in my BV top spot tho

Better than the regular Bare Vanilla in my opinion. Sweet cold cream frosty type of vanilla, not a warm gourmand type of vanilla if that makes sense. A great winter/fall vanilla. The sandalwood isn't really detectable smell wise but does round out the vanilla in here a bit, it almost makes it a softer slightly powdery (not like baby powder strong but soft powder) fragrance. Simple but so good.

My least fav of the Day Dream collection. The dry down has coconut in it. And not the creamy, cookie or even the sunscreen type of coconut that is fun and sweet🥥. Its more like a rancid coconut oil that u find on some people's hair! The collection is at buy 2 get 3rd for free here in Australia. Don't think this one will be included if I decide to buy!

i blind bought this as a sandalwood lover thinking it would be a woody slightly spicy version of bare vanilla, instead it’s a sweet marshmallow gourmand vanilla. it reminds me so much of cookie dough. it’s not a bad scent, just not really what I was looking for - will be using it more in the colder season though

Airier than "regular Bare Vanilla". I feel like this would do okay as a layering fragrance, but it's a bit too floppy on its own for me. Edit: I think this might be evolving into something really childish and plastic feeling, there's a strange and pleasant roundness about it!

A heavy, smokey vanilla. If 7 virtues' vanilla woods had a younger sister, this would be her. I didn't like the heavy smokiness of vanilla woods and Bare Vanilla is exactly that but in a body spray version. The fluffy vanilla note is practically nonexistent.

This smells like vanilla cold foam from Starbucks topped with fruity pebbles. It has the slightest coffee/milk note? It could be the sandalwood. It is a creamy vanilla-latte w that signature bare vanilla dna but much lighter than the original bare vanilla

Oh it’s very soft and nice. Very light, more soft n creamy than the og, yet still has that dna. I also get some hint of mint for some reason . Gives off holiday vibes. Love it!
