Petale d'Ambre

Superb aromatic amber! Opens with the classic lemon-bergamot-lavender cologne which stays throughout as the DNA of the entire blend that instantly reminds me of Acqua di Parma Colonia and a little bit of Eau Sauvage. Very masculine. This is a very Mediterranean scent if that makes sense. Patchouli, nutmeg and and cistus (rockrose), which is the labdanum leaves (not the resin) are what give more body to this, almost a spicy-leathery body, and it just works perfectly. The skeleton smells like the classic eau de cologne mix of petitgrain, bitter orange, lemon and bergamot + whatever other citruses there may be, wide selection for tweaks in such style. This is a winner release from Zara and Jo Malone, just like Balade Figuier from the same collection.

This is a heady perfume from the start and quite an unusual one yet evolves so nicely. It sometimes gives me a headache , especially in the beginning and this with just one spray on my wrist . The dry down is divine and the longevity of this scent is quite amazing. Chapeau to Zara and Jo Malone , even though it’s a bit more expensive as a perfume , the ingredients seems to be also of better quality. It’s totally unisex also ! I do like it but not as a everyday day perfume, as it’s not a lightweight one .

This is going to sound weird but this smells exactly like walking into a Lush store. It’s the perfect mix of floral, herbal and fruity profiles. I got the mini set but I think I’ll get a full size of this one.

I think I'm mostly getting lavender and (clean) patchouli out of this one. There's a bit of a rubbery quality, too -- actually, I think that might be the patchouli. The ambergris note isn't prominent, if anyone's worried that might be code for "Ambroxan bomb." Good performance -- I was enjoying the aromatic opening around me in the car all the way to work and getting whiffs of it into late afternoon. After 12 hours, I can still smell it with my nose a couple inches from my wrist. If memory serves, it bears some resemblance to Jo Malone Amber and Lavender, though I found that too masculine for my taste. This is unisex.

Second best from the Silent Flowers collection (no.1 is Balade de Figuere). Opens green and sharp, with dominant patchouli, mellows down into something like fabric softener. After a while, i get citruses, floral mix (it doesnt smell especially rosey to me). Then fabric softener becomes really cozy cashmere with wood. Very nice, comforting, blankey scent, great for winter, not sure about warmer weather

Nice floral ambery scent wrapped and opened with patchouli, not an usual scent. I like it People saying this smells like kouros have to be on their second line of white powder of the day.

Nice and inoffensive scent. I opted for this over a different zara perfume because it lasted much longer and i was after something that would hang around for a while. This being said, what hangs around is very soapy. I always chose to opt for something else because despite the longevity, it dries down quite like a lush detergent. The two comments i get the most when i wear this is that i smell clean or i smell like lush. Perhaps its the bergamont/patchouli/lavender combo that gives it the lush smell but they are not wrong, smells like a bath bomb. I still enjoy it, i think the overwhelming lush-ness and soapyness of it makes it feel less interesting than other fragrances.

Many praise this one as a classic Chypre fragrance. Maybe it is very refined as a classic, but for a modern-day average Joe like me, it is like Davidoff Cool Water. It has a detergent drydown, reminding you of clean bed sheets, and the constant emission of floral scent is indeed very elegant. However, it is still questionable to be a unisex fragrance, especially to appeal to anyone who has been fed with masculinity BS over the years. Sadly, I happen to be that poor guy who does not enjoy this beautiful scent.

Classic leaning for sure. It's like taking AdP Colonia, and add rose and some patchouli or maybe vetiver. Imo, this is for men who like 80's stuff, like Aramis, Azzaro, etc. It also feels like a lighter version of Floris Vert Fougère, without the dirty/smokey facets. A pass for me.

Bugspray for the first 2 hours. Then 90's mess. Nope!

The longer it sat on my skin the more terrible it got. This is the second total fail I tried from the silent flower line. No more for me. 🤢

Unique fougère fragrance. A bit elegant yet a bit something that is not a fragrance. An Italian gel room deodoriser? Eastern European homeopathic massage serum for athletes? An elementary school art supply closet in the 1960s where vapours are escaping from brown bottles of products that we have long since forgotten ever existed, making a kid puke, and Bill the janitor has sprinkled the puke with a flowery powder that disinfects and masks puke smell, then mopped with lavender scented floor soap? A sea green and pearly white clam-shell-shaped candle picked up for 3 euros in a Turkish bazaar just off the Reeperbahn?

Sa ne sent absolument pas à kouros ni acqua di parma , il y’a des ressemblances c’est vrai Amber lavender parce qu’il y a de l ambre et de la lavande et il y’a des petites vibrations légère de antidote Victor and rolf , très belle fougère chaude, de bonne qualité et très bonne tenue Mais c’est vraiment masculin je ne vois pas du tout sa sur une femme honnêtement 8/10 beau travail

Opens with a strong hit of patchouli. Amber? Petals? Nada. Just green patchouli. At first spray it's very masculine, too. Then, after 15 minutes it starts to change slightly. Not my cup of tea as I simply can't stomach any patchouli fragrance.

Petale d'ambre reminds me of a hand wash or an disinfectant. Dettol? idk but it is pleasant to smell that on skin.
