Tender Amber

Tender Amber by Zara is one of those perfumes that really caught me by surprise. From the first spray, it gives off this warm, cozy vibe — soft, sweet, and just a little bit creamy. It’s simple, but in the best way. One thing I really appreciate about Tender Amber is the sillage. For a Zara fragrance, it actually leaves a very nice trail — not overpowering, but noticeable enough that people around you can pick up on it. It has this inviting, comforting presence that floats gently in the air without feeling heavy. To me, Tender Amber feels perfect for days when you want something easy and comforting, but you still want people to notice you smell good. It's more intimate than loud, but it definitely doesn’t disappear into your skin the way some soft scents do. Longevity is decent — around 5–6 hours on me, which is honestly pretty impressive for the price. I don’t usually reach for it when I’m trying to make a big, bold statement, but when I want to feel relaxed, cozy, and a little bit elegant, Tender Amber is a beautiful choice. It’s like wearing a soft cashmere sweater — simple, warm, and effortlessly charming.

This one really surprised me. It smells like a cross between Erba Pura and Kirke, leaning a little more towards Kirke. I definitely pick up on some Ambroxan in there, but it smells very bright and pleasing. The ratios of notes here are slightly different than Kirke, and the addition of the blackcurrant makes it unique on its own. I actually prefer how it smells here! The juicy fruits aren't overwhelming like in the OG Kirke, and it smells super clean, musky, and salty throughout the entire lifetime of the fragrance. Easily one of my favorite Zara releases. It's been performing very strong for over 4 hours, and it lasts a good 9h on me.

I have a love-hate relationship with this fragrance. I love it because it is so damn good, and I hate it because it just does not last. I often find myself overspraying (10-12, sometimes 15+), but not to much avail, as it still won’t last over 4-5 hours. It is a clone of Erba Pura but has an edge to it that just makes it smell better, which I am unable to express in words (erba pura however still trumps it as it is beast mode with insane projection). I will probably always own this beauty just to sniff the elixir that it contains, but if you want it for any other purpose than yourself and hope to be noticed, stay clear.

A very interesting scent especially from ZARA. I honestly didn't expect much, but this fragrance has a very distinct STRONG STRONG flowery and sweet ambery scent. It really reminds me of Xerjoff Erba Pura, which I also love. I would definitely never blind buy this fragrance, since I can see people hating this, just like Erba Pura. It is surprisingly long lasting for me, at least 8 hours of performance. To be honest, it's only 20€ for 100 ML, which is great value. Solid 8/10.

The Erba Pura of Zara! I can say this is 90% similar to Erba pura by Xerjoff and I’m surprised by the good performance of the perfume. Sillage and longevity above average, performs better than most of Zara fragrances. With the current price, this is a very good deal, and so far, the best Erba Pura alternative I have came across. This new collection from Zara in general is a big improvement. Zara, now we’re talking!

At first i was like to strong, but after a while , in the skin i started to like it, i like this kind of mix of fruit and flowers, idk, for me was love at first smell, i think is good for using in a date or a dinner, its not the classical, Men Perfume, its a different perfume, and not everyone its going to like it, but its fine , beacuse its a personal taste and thats what matters

One of my go-to Zara frag for day time use. I think this is by far the best longevity compared to others from the same series collection. I like the sweet and fruity scent from this frag. It’s not cloying, just smells very candylicious. I’ve never tested Erba Pura but many people said this is the dupe. For the price, this is really worth buying.

After having mixed feelings of the alberto morillas collection and the other new releases this is a winner. Smells more like Kirke than Erba Pura but it’s similar to both. Gorgeous tropical fruits with a sweet base but never smells too heavy as it’s balanced with citrus. This joins my Zara faves of Fashionably London and ebony wood.

It has that same sweet, fruity, headache-inducing vibe that other Erba Pura-like fragrances have, but a bit less strong. Performance is still 6-7 hours on skin, very much a warm-weather fragrance. Definitely not for everybody, but I really enjoy it.

Smells exactly like EDP, but for me doesn't persist a bit; it's like 7 hours, but still good. The smell is also tropical and compliment-getting. Get this bottle now!!

Salty, Stoney, And Ancient Times And who said it’s a contradiction having an idea and then changing it? After all, life is a transformation. Even the caterpillar becomes a butterfly. The contradiction moves the world, and that happened to me. I tested all four new perfumes from ZARA Fragrances, and Tender Amber was the least liked because it was solid and synthetic. Right off the bat, this was a delightful perfume, cloying and overwhelming, which explains the tone of my statement, which I deliberately want to leave unchanged. But as time went by, its evolution changed my mind. To the point that yesterday, I went running to a store to hear it again and buy another one. It took me some time to decide between Spell Caramel and Tobacco Sublime; ultimately, the latter was my final choice. Gaël Montero is the nose behind Tender Amber, a floral-fruity prominent scent that smells of salt, warm stones, and ancient times. It starts with a cascade of luscious Mediterranean citrus fruits, a basket of the most joyful and freshest fruits. I meet exuberant Sicilian orange and lemon and Calabrian bergamot fruits, typical fruits of southern Italy, fill the composition with joy. If I close my eyes, I imagine a fresh fruit salad in large pieces, adding tropical fruits: mango, papaya, passion fruit, cantaloupe melon, pineapple. Topping it, there is a sprinkling of salt instead of sugar. There is a hint of sourness from the blackcurrant, neither too harsh nor too tart. Not very fresh, more sweet than fresh, luxurious smelling. When I smell it from a close distance, I identify an almost liqueur-like background of licorice, the pure black flake that melts in the mouth. The dominant note of ambroxan, from which it takes its name, Tender Amber, is immediately perceived—as anything but tender. Overly sweet and salty, a bomb of ambroxan barely overshadows the other notes. I let this big fruity explosion slowly subside, and a bouquet of fat, fleshy white flowers unfold. In the heart, the perfume turns towards a floral chewing gum that leans sweet, like Big Babol, floating on salty amber water. The tuberose is tamed, not flaunted, while the rose is as delicate as a white rose. It is a sensation similar to a cedar and sandalwood raft sprinkled with carnal flowers at the mercy of a rough sea; the splashes of water wet the petals giving a sensual and salty elixir. Amber edge grows and grows while a fluffy mossiness oozes. A soft musky, tart amber touch bears witness to vanilla, sensual, and dreamy. It doesn’t look like edible vanilla but something spicier that mixes with musky and amber tones. The amber is not marine but is a type of ambroxan similar to ambergris, with earthy, musky facets without soapy or clean puffs. The musky tones reflect that characteristic blackberry smell, like those in Musk EAU DE TOILETTE. Sadly, the two kinds of wood mentioned, cedar and sandalwood, neither overpower nor dominate, so the woody facet is smooth and subdued. With fruity and salty reflections, the amber nuance remains in the long trail that persists for many hours. I’ve tested my bottle twice now and got confirmation this morning. When I applied it last night around 9 pm, I couldn’t have imagined at all the following day when I woke up, i.e., at 9 am thinking: wow, how much is still there? Not only do I feel its remnants on my skin, but also its projection when I move my arm. Tender Amber is an elixir with a long-lasting velvety effect, which is unusual for a ZARA fragrance. Tender Amber is the best-most summer fragrance out of the four. I honestly believe many other fragrances look like this but are much more expensive; it smells like sugary fruit and delicious vanilla, and indeed the projection and longevity are outstanding. The main accords make it suitable for daily and nightly use during spring, summer, and fall months. It’s casual, not offensive if not over-sprayed, and perfect for leisure with friends, aperò, and dinner out. I'm basing my opinion on a bottle I've owned since August 2023.

First of all, what exactly makes Tender Amber a men’s fragrance??? I am quite confused because it smells nothing more than a fruity floral musky perfume. Which translates to my mind into something more feminine, rather than masculine.. That aside, it’s an ok scent in my opinion. I found it at TKMaxx for 3 euros, not knowing anything about it, and after a short Fragrantica search, I decided I would like it. It’s supposed to dupe Erba Pura/Kirke, two fragrances very popular, that I am not familiar with. Don’t know how well it’s duping these two scents, but as a standalone perfume is nothing amazing. Doesn’t smell bad, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not very ambery. It’s more tutti fruity and non descriptive florals. Which is perfectly fine but it’s not up to my taste sadly. For the price I have paid, I feel I shouldn’t have expected much. I don’t regret buying Tender Amber, but I don’t love it. But it’s not an amber perfume sadly.. I find the name of it quite misleading. Will update later about the performance!

Its a very summery/spring fragrance that is veryyyyy fruity. The rose and amber are present, but I get hit immediately with a synthetic tropical fruit smell but it isn't synthetic in a sickening way. I have only had it during these recent colder months, and while i do wear it now sometimes, I think that when it starts to warm up the sillage will be way farther. It is sweet, but i wouldn't call it feminine. The fragrance lacks woody and spice notes that would make it masculine but it is definitely a male leaning unisex fragrance. Don't let the rose scare you, because the way it mixes with the tropical fruits makes it way less 'florally'. Overall i would say its a nice fragrance, but I personally wear it to mundane things where i just wanna smell nice. It isn't anything extraordinary and is very simple and one dimensional but still appreciable by the wearer and people around them. I have gotten a couple of compliments when wearing it tho.

I'm not a huge fan and it's not something I'd wear, but being unbiased it smells pleasant to the nose and has good performance for a Zara fragrance. It definitely is more unisex (sprayed on my mom and sister and I could see it working on women) and has a synthetic smell to the fruits. It's probably just me, as the other reviews don't really mention it, but it is horribly headache-inducing, like seriously just smelling this in the air or cap makes my head hurt. I made the mistake of over-spraying on my neck during the summer heat and I wanted to pass out. I'll definitely check back on this next spring/summer after a long period of maceration, but as for now, I can't recommend this.

Personally, I don’t really care whether a fragrance is male or female or something else entirely... but my girlfriend borrowed this from me, and I must say it smells great on her. If I had randomely smelled it on a female without knowing what it was, I would’ve never thought it was a straight up mens fragrance. Decent sillage for the opening and pretty nice longevity on her as well, with only one or two sprays on the chest I am yet to give it full wearing myself, as I’m waiting for the summer. But I do believe I could pull it off as well. Maybe not as versatile on me, as it is on her, but I think I’d love to wear it to a party during the summer.

The fruit notes come on strong at first, but they do assimilate fast. There is a bright and vibrant accord throughout the fragrance, but it is a masculine scent, nonetheless. Some may find it too "fruity," but I don't. It is beautifully blended and delicious smelling. The amber brings it all together. And it's reasonably priced.

This one is perfect for End of winter/spring start 2026. It’s modern crush of berries and something like Burberry Goddess Parfum. I can smell best parts of both: sugary red berries without sweetness and Goddess accords with interesting twist. Quality of this one is niche-worthy. I can smell it even on fresh washed laundry

This is fresher and leans a little bit more feminine than Philos Pura, but it lasts so much longer on my skin! I can still smell it the day after but Philos Pura was almost gone before bedtime. Tender Amber loses its sharpness earlier though. Do I want a full bottle of it? Idk, maybe when if goes on sale.

First it feels like someone spilled a tropical juice for kids on you, 15 mins after it transforms into a similar weaker version of the xerjoff

This cologne isn’t terrible, but it’s not really my cup of tea. It has a slightly synthetic scent, and there’s something else that I can’t quite put my finger on, but it gives me a headache and makes it hard for me to enjoy it. Do I like it? No Would I wear it? Probably no Does it last? 6 hours Did it blow me away? No Safe blind? No Worth the price? No Is it unique? Yes Overall rating:5.5/10

I also relate with the other review saying it's "love-hate story" i really love how it smells but I hate the fact that it doesn't last long and nobody notices it except my girlfriend when she is very close.

I went to Zara’s men section and sniffed this and bought it right away. I enjoyed the bright fruits and musk until it got too much for me and I sold it. I kinda regret selling it.

Of all the ones I tried in this particular series, Tender Amber was the one I really disliked. It's pretty linear, harsh, very synthetic and artificial smelling, tediously sweet and dull. I think Zara must have been going for the popular BR540 vibe and it smells like a hundred other cheap sugary-ambery fragrances you can find for less money. Unisex leaning feminine. Pass.

Smells like Kirke in the opening, in the dry down amber notes take over, overall horrible performance and synthetic smell that causes headache after macerating for a month and half. I will use this as air refreshener. Might be the batch that I got since other people had positive experience. Don't expect more for 20$.

It's sickly sweet but I find this one is the longest lasting Zara.

This is an absolute pass. It has a powdery, cheepy, gum-like, synthetic sweetness that goes straight on. Only teenagers can wear this, and it's too boy-and-girl for the rest of the age group. Crumble up some mixed fruit chupa chups like powder and sprinkle it all over your body. This is just such a scent. To me it is a headache maker and I can't stand it very much.

Smells like Erba Pura but worse somehow

First impression: very fruity and tropical in the opening, but made refined, the black current is delicate and very well done (it shares nothing with the more juveniles Zara's fruity perfumes). The mid is a tuberose similar to that of Gozo by Jeroboam since it is a candied tuberose but not yet bubblegummy (and the fragrance also smells like Erba Pura!). Dry down is crystal amber, there is a molecular feel to it, there is lot of ambroxan but it is that clean type (no burnt smell, lightly salty). I can also smell some muskiness, a type of clean, detergent, and cocoon like musk. Mixed with the fruits it reminded me of Floro by Jeroboam. This fragrance but also Spell Caramel in a way, have a gummy quality which is reminiscent of Haribo gelly candy. I must have it!

Mainly fruity black currant and tropical top note, quite pineapple and a bit heavy on the ambroxan. Ever so slightly floral in the middle note. Base is quite ambery (duh), woody and a bit of vanilla. Though seems like quite heavy on the amber, it is quite smooth. Quite good projection, about 80% similarity to Purple Accento imo, more mass pleasing with more fruity top note. Unique choice for men without being too niche/too different.

@fp2010 You have got to be nearly brain dead if you think putting a brand new fragrance in the FREEZER is somehow causing it to "macerate" and magically become less synthetic smelling. That sounds like something someone told you to do as a joke and you thought they were being serious. Good God man, buy s clue. To all others reading this, I apologize for putting this in the review section; it needed to be said.

I got this bottle 6 months ago and I hated it, along with other Zara fragrances that I purchased and gave away immediately because I couldn’t stand any of them. This one I kept and I revisited it recently and I can’t stop wearing it now. Reminds me of Erba Pura but the dry down is heavenly on my skin, I can’t stop reaching for it. Lasts a very long time as well

I smelt tember amber ,at a zara store and the scent was really pleasant and nice for me. Can somebody tell me if this scent has close similarities to erba pura or this dna-scent profile , because I am looking to buy amber oud gold edition reason being the upgraded performance and longevity

Absolute bomb. I have a sweatshirt that I need to return, and I sprayed it on myself thinking ‘Zara perfumes aren’t long-lasting anyway.’ Now it’s impossible to return it — even after 3 days, there’s still a very strong smell

it's too fruity and sticky sweet to be a dupe of erba pura. but it's still too musky to be a dupe of kirke. like a weird combination of both. it's like 60% kirke 40% erba pura

I own Kirke and can say that this smells very similar in the dry down. Starts off a bit sweeter and more bubbelgummy than Kirke but the dry down is almost identical.

It is almost 100% identical to Kirke and Lattafa Confidential Gold and 70% similar to Erba Pura and its clones. Less loud and more beginner-friendly than Erba Pura

When i say wow, I mean Wow. Since it arrived it has either changed so much or i’ve changed so much to the point where i like it. Nice one zara.

Muy parecido a herba pura dentro de lo que se espera, muy floral, fresco, pero puede ser un poco fuerte sobre todo si echas mucho.

Wow, they managed to capture the scent of £1 Carex hand soap and put it into a fragrance. Absolute garbage.

Candied fruits with a hint of florals. Long lasting, synthetically sweet.

People say i smell really strong so do what you want with that info.

Opens with an insanely synthetic fruity smell which I enjoyed.

Synthetic, fruity, headache inducing. Gonna let it macerate.
