Ck One Summer Daze

Personally, I love the CK One Summer fragrance series. Every year, they renew this series of fragrances. It comes with innovative, refreshing scents that are suitable for summer and suitable for both sexes, and its price is very reasonable. CK One Summer is a very refreshing fragrance that contains kumquat as the main scent. The idea of the fragrance is completely based on it, hence the light orange color of the bottle. Then come the scents of iced tea and then light mint on a base of Sorbettolide (musk): comfortable, soft, fruity, clean, powdery, and sensual notes... similar to the smell of skin. Overall it gives the feeling that you are drinking a can of Fanta orange. This fragrance is suitable for after showering in the summer, and it is also suitable as a first-class refreshing home fragrance. The fragrance performance is below average and lasts for about an hour or two with a very close scent on the skin. If you are a fragrance collector, a lover of fresh scents, or a fan of unconventional scents, then know that this fragrance will satisfy your taste.

Beautiful orange mint tea, dripping with condensation. Taking it all in, not at a hot beach, but on a classic pool chair at a backyard cookout. Sunny, bright kumquat, maybe some kumquat leaf in there, dries into warm, earthy vetiver. A brach-y presence and near pine-y citrus composition remind me of the orange harvest season in Florida, where ripe kumquats always grow nearby. This is what a fragrance is supposed to do: Take you back - Summer Daze indeed. Typically, CK One Summer gives us an outstanding alcoholic lime cocktail on even years like 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2018. 2020 came with a pandemic, as a result, a less-social and forgettable Summer entry. Expecting a new summer beverage this time around, CK One gave us a refreshing, booze-free citrus mint tea that takes on the creamy, nostalgic, orange character of a melting Creamsicle as the afternoon fades into twilight. The base has a rarely used but gorgeous, fruity Sorbettolide musk from Firmenich, one of the world's premier perfumers. Unisex joy in a bottle. As usual, ignore the over-sprayers.

It's going to be a small review but this perfume screams Kumquat in every ways possible. It is citrusy, fresh, smells like freshly washed linen hanging outdoors to dry on a sunny and windy summer afternoon. The Tea note and the Mint also helps the Kumquat for the freshness. Then you get an aromatic slight undertone with the vetiver. And a clean finish with the white musk. But all your going to perceive mainly is the Kumquat and the Tea. Don't get me wrong, the review isn't short because I hate the fragrance, it is short because I feel like it is so effective that you really just have to try it. It is so cheap and affordable, if you think the OG CK ONE has to many notes, this one can be a cool alternative. It represents the hot sand, hot breeze during a nice trip to the beach, while its 2021 brother seems more aquatic and cool. They represent each aspect of spending a whole day at the beach. It is an 8/10 :)

I am very biased towards the old style ck summer (2006-2014). The last years releases have been pretty much crap. This on the other hand, sort of returns to the ”right” formula. Not 100 % like the old days, but the closest in about 10 years. It’s a ck summer frag allright, but goes into the direction of Aqua Amara from Bvlgari (maybe the tea?). After 30 minutes I finally the sweet fruits come out. At this point it's summer bliss. This is the one that I have missed all these years. Summer in a bottle. Dry down is the best. Not expecting performance but it doesn’t matter. It’s made for dumb reaching during hot humid days when you just want to rock a white tee and head to a beach. A personal summer pick me up, not a fragrance that you wear for others to smell. My final verdict? The warm weather king is back. Buy it.

I've never been into CK One or its flankers, but as the bottle looked so tempting (crazy about the colour orange), I just gravitated towards it. I can't really explain what it is about this fragrance. Is it something unique? No. Something revolutionary? Definitely not. Do the notes speak to me? Not at all! But there's something incredibly addictive about it. A bit bitter and zesty, however kinda sweetish kumquat and I'm so glad it's the most detectable note. I wouldn't have imagined that there's also the tea note, as I don't usually like it and I'm so glad it doesn't stand out. The performance is not the best, but a very uplifting, lovely scent for summer. I have a feeling it will perform better during warmer days. I'll grab this one as soon as I find a good deal during sales.

Just tried this at the local perfumery. Zingy and fresh, bitter and uplifting kumquat. The opening is orangy and aquatic in a wonderful way, but doesnt last very long... the base underneath is a bit more spicy minty and musky. Like all CK ́s flankers its unisex and just out of shower fresh. Longevity is about 3-4 hours and silage not impressive. But oh how I love them all. Timeless, for all genders and all occasions. Summer in a bottle. A big love from me- gotta own it.

Like the previous reviewer I got it on an opening release deal. I have to say I'm very impressed with the scent. Fresh orange fizz is how I would describe it. Longevity is a typical summer fragrance (a bit lacking). But I find this to be such a differently unique flanker on the CK summer line that it's well worth a purchase. It's wonderful

I love this sm i think its a great younger guy summer fragrance but like most of these comments it barely lasts. Its very zesty orangey and fresh but I would say it is unisex leaning masculine. I loves catching whiffs of it when its hot and it refreshes me but it wont last you more than 2 hours.

I found this in duty free in Norway for about $30. score! I love it. Citrus scents are an absolute favorite of mine and this one is lovely. I smell orange more than kumquat. It does not last that long, but I am happy to spray it multiple times of day. It lifts my mood every time.

Im so used to green tea notes,I was pleasantly surprised by the black tea note in this.with the kumquat it reminds me of the orange Tang and iced tea mix from childhood.very nice and not as masculine as other ck one summer editions

Opened citrusy and aquatic at the same time. Interesting. But overall I think it’s rather mild for me, hardly projecting at all. But beautiful enough scent for a price that’s doesn’t hurt to add to my collection.

A blast of fresh sweet and tart kumquat. I like to use it when I’m feeling tired or down. It really wakes me up and lifts my mood. It doesn’t last long, but none of the CK One fragrances do. I love it.

Like eating a juicy orangey fruit salad in the shower. Very tasty and summery but still very clean and fresh. One of my dailies at the minute, still got me smellin all nice after a long day at work.

It is a very clean, very stylish and truly noticeable scent on the person. In addition to its freshness, it is a perfect summer scent with its very light sweet citrus notes.

Absolutely love this new scent, perfect for this type of year - and packaging and bottle really tie it all together so well. Summer in a bottle!

This smells so delicious. An invigorating citrus quencher.

Calvin Klein CK One Summer Daze is the latest of the CK One Summer releases and first to have a new name and not an added year to it. It is a weird dictomy of a fragrance that smells different but similar at the same time. It is not like any CK One Summer release I've owned or smelt (I admittedly haven't smelt too too many of them) but it can smell similar to others. CK One Summer Daze opens similar to Cuba Wild Heart with a kumquat note. It is citric and can smell like a bright orange. To my nose it is more orangey than Cuba Wild Heart and more like Bath and Body Works Sunshine Mimosa. I use that body wash because it is a nice smelling citrus. CK One Summer Daze then goes minty. And it isn't sharp like a spirament. I also get a slight tea but it is by no means as strong as CK Everyone or CK One Summer 2019 with their tea note. The base is similar to most CK One Summery releases and has musk. I really do not get vetiver from it. CK One Summer Daze is rather unisex. I don't think it is distinctly masculine, nor is it destinctly feminine. It is I think one of the most balanced unisex fragrances between which gender it works for. I can easily see most men and women who like very bright citrus wearing this. CK One Summer Daze is perfect for summertime. You may also get warmer spring and Indian summer (early warm fall days) wearings out of it. It is mostly a day fragrance, I wouldn't wear it for night at all. I could easily see myself wearing this on my next cruise in May of next year. It works for work and casual settings. CK One Summer Daze has the SOSDD for Calvin Klein fragrances, in particular CK One fragrances. By that I mean, anyone who has owned Calvin Klein CK One, much less most CK fragrances, know that projection is mild to moderate at best and around 3-5 hours of longevity. That said, when this does his discounters, I would say get it if you like bright citric fragrances. CK One Summer Daze I feel may get overlooked since it is yet another CK One Summer flanker with lighter performance. That said, I think it stands out at least in the past few years of CK One Summer releases. CK One 2020, mandarin orange and sea salt. CK One 2019 is a prototype CK Everyone with more Ed Hardy Love & Luck and a driftwood note. CK One 2018 was CK One 2014 with a slight change, as was CK One 2016. CK One 2017 was a unisex take on Polo Blue. CK One Summer Daze really stands out from the pack and for that I think it is a 7.7 out of 10. I think the 2019 is better, but the unique factor of Summer Daze gives it a close second.

Refreshing pick me up fragrance. Just got back from my local Superdrug, was quite surprised that they had this in the display box, so I asked to test it because I had seen a few reviewers say it was a decent fragrance. I quite liked it, projection and longevity weren't great at all, but apart from CK Obsession, I don't get good performance out of any of the CK fragrances. It's a citrus-forward fragrance, smells good, and would be nice for a pool environment, I prefer this as a spritz fragrance just as a freshen-up feel-good scent. I don't get much of the tea note, I do get some musk too though. For me, it's a 2.5/5

Just smelled this at Primor and I have to say that it surprised me to good, I was expecting a more citrusy scent, but it was actually so fresh on the paper, that looking at other stuff in the shop it was coming so fresh to my nose that I went back to spray it on my wrist. I would even compare its freshness to Clinique Happy for men. But the happiness ended after 2-3 hours when I could barely smell something on my skin. If you do not mind reapplying this, I do suggest it - a definetely summer breeze. I will go for it this summer, but have it with me in the office to reapply!

This summer is going back in time when the first summer flankers appeared. It is very pleasant but evaporates in an hour, so no longevity at all. I am happy that it is different from all summer fragrances in the last 10 years by CK but I hoped for better performance. My all-time-favourite will remain Summer 2019, just unbeatable. Last year was terrible with extremely cheapish flanker but this year it gets better.
