Enchanting typical Japanese scent of local incense. Amazingly non-linear. You're getting 3 stages withing half an hour. Starting with a light elegant sweetness and mysterious incense and a pickle effervescent type of citrus, it softens to a more discrete and a little powdery spicy scent to litterally finish with a dark pepper that will take over until the perfume vanishes. Lively, surprising and traditional at the same time, it's Japan in a bottle.

Opening reminds me of sour green mangoes, with a slight campheraceous note underneath. There is some woodiness like twigs amongst the green notes (coriander and cut grass vibes), with a subtle leathery bitterness. Is there fennel or anise that’s causing the mentholy accord? The woodiness slowly turns into a rhubarb note. The mild leather lurking underneath adds a nice dimension to the overall scent profile. Leans a bit to rhubarb but it’s still bearable, unlike B683. A quiet contemplative scent for a personal scent journey.

A unique clean incense scent where the citrus and aromatics aren’t just there to brighten things up. They’re blended so smoothly with elemi, olibanum and cypress (possibly eucalyptus?) to create an unusual mentholated and effervescent freshness. SRHY 90 does something similar but I like this better. 4 out of 5. The lemon in this also reminds me of vintage Rochas Moustache oddly enough.
