Forest Cat

My favorite perfume ever, so darling <3 I think it smells like a kitten's fur, milk, soil, with a strong musk base, which is how it's supposed to smell. It is definitely a more intimate scent, but it projects a little. I usually reapply twice a day. I just crave this scent, it's so comforting and it reminds me to be soft and kind throughout the day. Others on here have said it's "cute" and I agree. It really reminds me of the vibe of Grouper's music, and the color grey. It's fascinating to me that it hits people's noses so differently according to reviews on here, as it smelled like how I imagined it to smell once it arrived. However, since it's a perfume oil and a gentle one, I am sure it's entirely dependent on skin chemistry and our unique noses. Forest Cat isn't too pricey, I encourage you to try it if you're curious!

Oh my god bless this scent. It literally is the cutest smelling thing without being overly girly. It smells like an angel sat on a pile of wet dirt in the forest, and if you sprayed a slightly floral and oud-y perfume on said dirt. It’s earthy without smelling dirty, it’s musky without smelling like you’ve been permeating, for lack of better terms lol. I really am at a loss for words on how to describe it, all I know is that I LOVE it, it’s my go to night out scent and top 3 fragrances right now. The name forest cat was definitely what drew me in and having smelt it now, I am here to stay! It’s so cute and flirty. I REEEALLY like this 💜

I'll likely update this once I have more experience with it, but I wore this for the first time today and can shed some light! Initially it was a very green scent to me, maybe a soft earthy ivy. Now after some time it's the milk I smell most clearly in a midnight cup of warm milk and honey sort of way. The musk is gentle and gives the sweetness a calm depth. Overall I'd consider this a very soft and soothing earthy green scent, distinct but subtle.

Forest Cat is a very nice fragrance. So comforting and soft. <3 Only way I can describe it is- this is what an elegant cashmere sweater is supposed to smell like- almost reminiscent to cats fur or kittens drinking milk...🥛 This perfume would be a perfect everyday casual fragrance for fall and winter. This is definitely a good sweater scent because of the gray musk. One of my favorites from Poesie so far.

It's comforting and soothing, maybe a little sad. It's not quite sweet but it's close, like a savory dessert. It's definitely a shyer scent, it's not loud, but it stuck around for a few hours. It's a scent for you, and maybe someone within six feet of you. Definitely considering full bottle as it's ~$30

On me it starts as a milky sweet scent. After 10 min or so I can smell a bit more the "soil" note but it's discrete. It's as simple as that. It's not overly complex but it's nice and a tad different. It's relaxing and soft. For the price it's hard to beat. I got a small decant but I'd consider a more bigger size as Fall/Winter approaches. If you like "sweet milky" scents give it a try.

More alluring on paper than in person. Without the beautiful description, there is nothing distinct or captivating. I swear that the "milky" note is actually coconut and over time I find that it gets quite sweet, almost cloy. After reading the reviews I dug out a cashmere sweater and did lots of back and forth sniffing. Nothing cashmere in it to this nose.

I can't quite place my finger on this one. Its a very subtle, intimate scent. It kind of smells like nothing but it's not nothing it's... the closest I could describe it is like a swimming pool with a little milk and sugar mixed in?

Right out of the bottle my heart sank! Sunscreen! Straight up just sunscreen! After I let it sit for a little more than a month when I smelled it out of the bottle I started to get a little more of a milky note. I was soo excited to try a lactonic fragrance and this one sounded subtle and interesting, I wanted something powdery with a slight grit. I have a lifelong love of dry notes like fabric, cashmere, musks like that. This just didn’t hit those markers for me. I was hoping I would like it more on my skin than in the bottle and I do like it more but overall just don’t care for it. It’s very much sunscreen-y. A powdery coconut, I definitely get the creaminess of the milk and this subtle pleasant fuzz of something fabric-y, where the fur in the concept is supposed to be. It’s not bad! It unfurls pleasantly like all the poesie samples I’ve tried have done, with charming subtle notes but the sunscreen just won’t die. And I’m really sniffing at it for those subtle notes. They are pleasant but so soft. I hate these type of smells. Not exactly soap but definitely in the same orbit. It’s clean, a little wet, gentle, the lightest of powders, but overwhelming me with this sunscreen note that refuses to surrender. Scents like this remind me in a bad way of soap and bathing products marketed for kids. It’s beach vibes, soap-y, clean and synthetic coconut-esque with the lightest feeling of my nose pressing into something soft and fuzzy. Then that goes too and I’m just wearing sunscreen and mildly annoyed that I have to smell like this to protect my skin. (I know there are lots of sunscreens w/o this kind of smell and I’m in the market for them!) I’m not getting any of the earth-y notes outright, more like something gently countering me from *only* calling it wet and clean. There’s more happening than just that but not much, and not enough for me. Again it’s not bad but it’s just really not my cup of tea. Definitely won’t be wearing again and scrubbing soon. Update: It lingered on the jacket I was wearing (pastel pink and fuzzy if you even care btw) and I liked it more on there. Slightly less coconut and slightly more cream. I found myself sniffing at it curiously a couple of times but still, I just can’t get into it.
